Netflix’s Ozark is wrapping up its season with more heat than even Marty Byrde can avoid. The Netflix hit ate up more than 4 billion minutes of viewing time for January 24th-30th, which is only the fourth time that’s happened in the United States. The fourth season made its debut on January 21st, topping 4 billion minutes of viewing — 4.095 billion exactly. That’s the best for any streaming title in two years and only the fourth time any show has topped the 4 billion minute mark....
This might be the straw that broke HD DVD’s back if it turns out to be true. According to a story from London’s Financial Times, Paramount is looking at abandoning the HD DVD format it signed on with less than a year ago. The story states that there is a clause in Paramount’s contract with HD DVD that would allow the studio to get out of its contract if Warner Bros....
According to Variety, Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey has signed on for Paramount Pictures’ Freedom Writers and is in negotiations to join the cast of the Walt Disney Co. pic Enchanted. In the Richard LaGravenese-directed Writers, Dempsey will play the husband of Hilary Swank’s character in the story of a young teacher who inspires her class of at-risk students to pursue education beyond high school. Dempsey, who worked with Swank on HBO’s “Iron Jawed Angels,” will lense the role concurrently with his part on the hit ABC one-hour “Grey’s Anatomy....
James Gunn’s Peacemaker series came to an end with a bang last week, delivering a huge audience for HBO Max and bringing some unexpected cameos for good measure. While the unexpected appearance of some well-known DC heroes, it was the absence of other characters that really had people talking about the show. However, new details shared on social media by one of the stunt doubles from the show has revealed that those missing characters were actually filmed to appear, but were dropped before the final cut was done....
Not only did Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End obliterate this weekend’s domestic box office for the second week in a row, it also topped out overseas. It took in $105.4 million at 17,500 theaters in 103 countries. Neither Mr. Brooks nor Knocked Up opened internationally, so the film had no real significant competition. We reported back in October that Nickelodeon had secured the worldwide rights to a popular franchise and it seems they’re partnering with some heavy hitters for a new live-action film. Deadline New York is reporting that Platinum Dunes will be producing the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live-action film with Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures. It was said that Dunes principals Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form will be producing the film along with Galen Walker and Scott Mednick....
Rachel Zegler has had a whirlwind of an introduction to Hollywood in the last couple of years, with starring roles in West Side Story and as the lead in Disney’s live-action Snow White. Now she has been cast as Lucy Gray Baird in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the prequel to the blockbuster Hunger Games movies. Rick and Morty, and several other Adult Swim shows, are getting brand new digital spin-offs. The network has announced that these four new, digital short series will be based on popular shows from the network’s lineup. In the case of Rick and Morty, it is the superhero team The Vindicators who will be taking the spotlight in the spin-off. Adult Swim also announced Alabama Jackson, a Robot Chicken spin-off, Aquadonk Side Pieces, an Aqua Teen Hunger Force spin-off, and Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell: The Animated Series....

This show essentially chronicles their lives and we see how Sean is basically out of control. As far as Marvel is considered, Daredevil is in fact a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Bay was responding to a question from someone who was dissapointed that his films were released in HD DVD and not Blu-Ray. “What you don’t understand is corporate politics. Michael Caleo has signed on to write Volcano, a crime drama for EuropaCorp that focuses on the small Bahamian island of Norman’s Cay, which was turned into the fulcrum of cocaine smuggling and a hedonistic paradise by Carlos Lehder, the right-hand man of Medellin Cartel leader Pablo Escobar, according to Variety. EuropaCorp’s Luc Besson, who hatched the idea for the film, will produce with Virginie Silla Besson. The island of Norman’s Cay became the smuggling base for the Medellin Cartel after Lehder took over the island by force, payoffs and bribery....
Although it may seem obvious, Morbius director Daniel Espinosa has made it clear that the universe his movie is set in has its own Spider-Man, and other Marvel heroes such as Iron Man. There has been a lot of speculation how Sony’s Universe of Spider-Man Characters will deal with Spider-Man himself, and although Espinosa didn’t explain the when or how Spider-Man may make an appearance in the world that seems to include Venom, Kraven The Hunter and the MCU’s Vulture, he has given a long and detailed explanation about exactly how Sony’s universe works....
