No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani is set to replace the pregnant Christina Aguilera as a coach during the 7th cycle of The Voice, which begins taping in June. Gwen Stefani has also been in talks to become a coach on ABC’s Rising Star, which premieres in August. She has experience working in these competition shows, having mentored for American Idol. She will be joining other new cast member Pharrell Williams, who is stepping in to replace CeeLo Green....

AMC’s NOS4A2 is now less than a month away from premiering and the network has provided a new look at the terrifying show. At the Crunchyroll Industry panel at New York Comic Con on Friday, October 7, 2022, Crunchyroll made a series of announcements across streaming, eCommerce, and Crunchyroll Games. The company announced its bringing another classic lineup to its steaming service: a new series Revenger, from visual novel developer Nitroplus and distributor Shochiku, The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World, from writer Nana Mikoshiba and illustrator Riko, and the second season of the anime of author Roy and illustrator Ririnra’s By the Grace of the Gods....

Paranormal Activity producers Oren Peli and Jason Blum are reuniting with writer Christopher B. Landon (Paranormal Activity 2, Paranormal Activity 3) for a new Latino-themed horror project. Christopher B. Landon will write and direct this untitled project, which is described as a “cousin” to the Paranormal Activity franchise. The movie will feature a Latino cast, and will delve into Catholic-based paranormal mythology, although it will be presented in English, not Spanish....

Another name has just been announced for the cast of Agatha: Coven of Chaos, the upcoming WandaVision spinoff series starring a returning Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness. Per Deadline, Patti LuPone has just joined the cast for an undisclosed role, but the rumor is she will be playing a witch. Her casting comes after the recent announcement that Aubrey Plaza would be making her MCU debut in the series as well with other stars including Joe Locke, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, and Sasheer Zamata....

Previously known and discovered as “Lisa Nova” on YouTube, Lisa Donovan joins the hilarious cast of MADtv, which airs Saturdays (11:00 PM-Midnight ET/PT) on FOX. Donovan will first be seen in the episode airing Saturday, Feb. 17. A native of New York, Donovan attended the University of Colorado-Boulder before moving to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. She went on several auditions, including one for MADtv, and performed with a small improv group....

Lori Loughlin is reportedly looking to return to her acting career after her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, reaches the end of his prison sentence. In 2019, Loughlin and Giannulli found themselves in serious legal trouble when they were named as a part of the infamous college admissions scandal. The two parents were accused of spending $500,000 in bribes to have their two daughters enrolled in the University of Southern California, a crime that resulted in jail time for them both....

MacGillivray Freeman Films has greenlit Return to Everest 3D, a follow-up to its 1998 hit, Everest. The film is directed and produced by two-time Oscar nominee Greg MacGillivray; the original grossed $136 million. Variety noted the production marks the first time the world’s tallest mountain will be filmed in Imax 3D. Return to Everest will again star Jamling Norgay of Nepal and Araceli Segarra of Spain, who climbed the summit in 1996; the duo will return to assist the Nepalese Sherpa people whose livelihood depends on the mountain....

An open casting call for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel has revealed some possible plot details for the Superman reboot. Superman Homepage has posted the casting sheet for the Vancouver Island area: Man of Steel is currently filming in the Chicago, Illinois area and shooting will move to British Columbia on September 21, 2011. Filming will continue in Vancouver and surrounding areas through January 20, 2012. In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time....
