DreamWorks is moving forward on a sequel to its upcoming adventure Real Steel, even though the Hugh Jackman movie doesn’t come out until October 7. John Gatins, who wrote Real Steel, has been hired by DreamWorks to write a sequel. It is said the studio has received positive responses from internal screenings and its presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. It is quite rare for a sequel to take shape so early, although The Hangover Part II was in development long before The Hangover’s release in the summer of 2009....

Fox Home Entertainment is planning to have a laugh filled June! In a story from DavisDVD, they report that Reno 911!: Miami will be coming to DVD June 19. This film will be available in Full Screen, Anamorphic Widescreen and a Widescreen Unrated Cut. Synopsis: Reno 911!: Miami finds the Comedy Central officers visiting a national police convention in Miami Beach at the height of spring break. When the convention center is bio-attacked, it’s up to Reno’s “finest” to save the day....

AMC has released the official key art, synopsis and the very first images from the highly-anticipated new season of The Walking Dead, which premieres Sunday, October 7 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Season 8 of The Walking Dead brought the culmination of “All Out War,” which pitted Rick Grimes and his group of survivors against the Saviors and their cunning leader, Negan. With Negan’s life in his hands, Rick had a character-defining choice in front of him....

Robert De Niro is in talks to star in a new, untitled biopic on infamous financial criminal Bernie Madoff for HBO. The project is based off a new book entitled The Wizard Of Lies: Bernie Madoff And The Death Of Trust by New York Times reporter Diana B. Henriques, which was just published on April 26. The book is already a hit, debuting at #10 on The New York Times bestseller list last weekend....

The third Loki episode is titled “Lamentis”. It opens with C-15 (Sasha Lane) and the Variant (Sophia Di Martino) drinking fruity drinks at a bar. C-15 wonders if they should order “buffalo fingers.” The Variant banters along like a bestie, describing what “brain freeze” actually does. She dares C-15 to drink, then casually asks, “How many people are guarding the Time-Keepers?” The outside scene changes to night as C-15 looks confused....

Loki is one of just two Marvel Disney+ series that’s confirmed to be getting a second season. Production will reportedly get underway next month, and while star Tom Hiddleston says the entire cast will be back for the new season, there will be some changes behind the camera. One of those will be in the director’s chair, as Kate Herron, who directed all six episodes of season one, will not be helming Loki’s second season....

The long-gestating Amy Winehouse biopic may have finally found its lead. Per Variety, the biopic, dubbed Back to Black, was developed with the intention of casting a newcomer to play Winehouse in the film rather than going with a famous pop star. Reportedly, Marisa Aribel (Industry) has risen as the frontrunner for the role. Talks are said to be underway and the casting has not yet been made official. A rising star, Abela would be best known for her role as Yasmin Kara-Hanani in the HBO and BBC Two series Industry....

New merchandise for The Flash movie has revealed the first look at Michael Keaton’s new version of the Batwing, set to appear in the highly anticipated film that’s due to hit theaters in 2023. The movie will follow Barry Allen as he gets stuck in a parallel universe, allowing Keaton to reprise his iconic role from Tim Burton’s Batman movies, a part he hasn’t played since 1992. It creates an exciting opportunity for fans to revisit both Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne and Michael Keaton’s original take on the character in one movie....

NBC has picked up three of its hit dramas in Medium, Crossing Jordan and Las Vegas for the 2006-07 season, it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment. “These three shows have A+ creative auspices and some of the most loyal audiences on television,” said Reilly. “I’m thrilled that we can count on them again next season.” From Emmy Award-winning executive producer, creator and director Glenn Gordon Caron (Moonlighting), the chilling drama Medium nears the end of its second season and now will return for a third....

The Good This is truly one of the funniest shows to have ever been on TV. The Bad I would like Warner Bros. to just get to the point and only release the first season of this show instead of this 6 episode DVD. Night Court is one of those shows that I could watch for hours on end. Having watched a bunch of them when I was growing up, I don’t think I fully understood what was happening, I just knew that I should be laughing....

Colson Baker, aka the rapper Machine Gun Kelly, shoots blanks in a ridiculous and painfully slow crime thriller. One Way has a wounded criminal on the run from his drug lord boss. He gets on a night bus to Cairo, Georgia with a duffel bag full of cash and cocaine. The protagonist interacts with a runaway girl and other shady characters while bleeding out. He also spends the entire runtime talking on various phones trying to engineer an escape....

Casey Affleck has now added his name to the seemingly never-ending cast list of director Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. Because the biopic apparently did not already have enough A-listers attached, Casey Affleck, the star of such titles as Manchester by the Sea and Nolan’s own Interstellar, has now joined proceedings. The actor was spotted alongside Oppenheimer lead Cillian Murphy on set (via Daily Mail). Casey Affleck’s role in Oppenheimer is unknown at this time, but he can be seen wearing military attire in the set images....
