James Franco is already locked in to play the title character. Last month, we reported that director Sam Raimi wanted to cast Hilary Swank as an evil witch, although Disney preferred Michelle Williams....

Now, Legendary Pictures is rushing to get Guillermo del Toro behind the lens on Pacific Rim before he shoots At the Mountains of Madness for Universal Pictures, which still hasn’t fully committed to that proposed thriller. Pacific Rim is a PG-13 tent pole-sized potential summer blockbuster starring giant monsters....

Patty Jenkins has addressed her Wonder Woman 3 departure, countering previous claims that she refused to change the movie to fit with the new Warner Bros. Discovery plan. When Wonder Woman 3’s cancelation was announced, it was suggested that Jenkins had been asked to make a number of changes to her completed script but instead chose to walk away. Sharing her thoughts via her Twitter account, Jenkins set the record straight about how she felt there had been no option for her to move the film forward, but she certainly didn’t just walk away....

Martin Scorsese worked with a young Ray Liotta while directing the biographical mob movie Goodfellas. Paramount has come to save the day with a new remake of an animated classic. The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Paramount is seeking to reboot the animated series Mighty Mouse for a new film. After a week or so of speculation, it seems that television’s big awards gala finally has a host. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Neil Patrick Harris has been confirmed as the host of the 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. “We already knew Neil as a fantastic actor and performer, but after blowing everyone away as host of this year’s Tony Awards, we couldn’t think of anyone better to emcee the television industry’s biggest award show,” said Nina Tassler, president, CBS Entertainment....
