Syfy is developing the half-hour single-camera, live-action comedy Saved by Zeroes, from former Smallville star Michael Rosenbaum, Sony and Happy Madison, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Rosenbaum and Jonathan Silverman are set to star in the project, created by Rosenbaum and based on his personal experiences. It revolves around two friends, former actors on a science fiction show that has since developed a cult following, who have hit rock bottom and must work together to get their lives back on track....

The Walking Dead showrunner Scott M. Gimple was recently interviewed by Larry King, where he revealed that he wants to bring Lennie James back as Morgan Jones, who appeared in the pilot episode “Days Gone By” and the Season 3 episode “Clear”. In the pilot, Morgan helped Rick (Andrew Lincoln) get used to his new surroundings in the zombie apocalypse, after he woke up in the hospital, and they reunited in “Clear”....

A new adaptation of A Christmas Carol is on the way at Netflix and the full voice cast has been revealed. Set to start streaming on Netflix in December, Scrooge: A Christmas Carol is a reinterpretation of the famous Charles Dickens story. On October 6th, Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release four never-before-seen horror films direct to Blu-ray and DVD. Each disc will sell for $19.98 SRP on DVD and $29.99 SRP for the Blu-ray. The titles include: Seventh Moon [Blu-ray]. Directed by Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project). Joss Whedon is heading back to the small screen for his latest project. The director of The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron has just had his new series, The Nevers, ordered straight to series by HBO. There’s no word on a release date or production timetable as of yet, but the network seems to have a lot of confidence in what Whedon has cooked up and has decided to skip shooting a pilot and will deliver at least one season of the show....

The Sanderson sisters will be riding their broomsticks onto Disney+ next month in Hocus Pocus 2, and Disney has released a new look at the upcoming legacy sequel. The latest trailer for upcoming Marvel sequel Spider-Man: No Way Home manages to back a lot of new footage into its brief runtime, including several new shots of the beloved web-slinger and MJ, as well as glimpses at returning villains Doc Ock and Electro. The new footage, which also celebrates tickets going on sale, shows Spider-Man reacting to something on his cell phone, and is likely some of the first scenes from the movie, with the Marvel hero attempting to deal with his secret identity being exposed....

Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez will return to Hulu beginning June 28, 2022, with more fun capers as wannabe sleuths in Season 2 of Only Murders in The Building. Martin plays Charles Haden-Savage, a once-famous TV star of a 1990s detective drama series who spends his days as a lonely C-lister and is lucky to afford his fancy abode. Martin Short is cast as Oliver Putman, a famed Broadway director known for his mammoth-sized productions but is now out of work....

Disney is having a great year. In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Nielsen VideoScan’s First Alert Chart reports that Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest sold 10.5 million units to take the No. 1 spot in sales last week. Not surprisingly, it was also tops on Home Media Magazine’s video rental chart. As you may recall, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest also sold 1.5 million copies in it’s first week of release in the UK....

The first name has come up as to who will play the new young web slinger in Sony’s upcoming superhero reboot. Access Hollywood recently chatted with Percy Jackson & The Olympians: Lightning Thief star Logan Lerman, who revealed he was in talks to play the new Spider-Man. While Lerman said he was interested in the role, he also said that the studio was interested in him for the role as well, although they are still in just early talks at this time....
