With the election action heating up, the town of Riverdale is getting ready for the Mayoral debate to see which candidate they want to pledge their ballot of loyalty to in Shadow of a Doubt. Hiram Lodge convinces Archie to reform the Dark Circle in an effort to find The Black Hood but what he really wants is to put more separation between Fred Andrews and his son. We are introduced to the town’s newest addition Sheriff Minetta who ironically Hiram brought in and is meant to be the answer to finding TBH....

With The CW getting ready to debut Riverdale Season 2, which arrives October 11, the network is also making plans to expand the Riverdale universe with a new spin-off based on the iconic Sabrina the Teenage Witch character from the original Archie Comics, entitled The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Since the Sabrina character hasn’t been introduced in Riverdale yet, it’s possible that could happen in Riverdale Season 2, leading into this spin-off that is being eyed to debut in the 2018-2019 TV season....

Academy Award nominated director Rob Marshall (Memoirs of a Geisha, Chicago) and The Weinstein Company are joining forces to bring the classic Broadway show Nine to the big screen. This marks the first time that Rob Marshall and Harvey Weinstein have collaborated since reviving the Hollywood musical with Chicago, winner of six Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Nine will be directed by Rob Marshall with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston, composer and lyricist for the original 1982 Broadway production that won the Tony Award for Best Musical, and was written by Arthur Kopit....

Beloved actor Robbie Coltrane has died, and the sad news has many who knew him paying tribute. That includes some of those from his Harry Potter family, as Coltrane is especially well-known for his role as Hagrid in the movie series. Fellow franchise star Daniel Radcliffe had appeared in all eight films in the series with Coltrane, and shortly after the news was announced, Radcliffe released a statement addressing the passing of his friend....

Looking For Alaska is an 8-episode limited series based on the John Green novel of the same name. It centers teenager Miles “Pudge” Halter (Charlie Plummer), as he enrolls in boarding school to try to gain a deeper perspective on life. He falls in love with Alaska Young (Kristine Froseth), and finds a group of loyal friends. But after an unexpected tragedy, Miles and his close friends attempt to make sense of what they’ve been through....

Exuding societal perversion, bloody corpses, and unimaginable creatures, Phil Tippett demonstrated the gnarliest elements of horror in his most recent release, Mad God. The film follows the main character, otherwise known as The Assassin, through the imagined underworld, where we are exposed to gruesome scenes of various tortured creatures. A unique aspect of the film is its lack of an obvious motive or a predictable progression, which is an unusual direction regarding plot maps....

Back in January, when production started on Season 3 of WGN America’s hit series Salem, the network announced that music icon Marilyn Manson will return to the small screen in a guest starring role. While best known as a musician, he has previously appeared on hit shows such as Eastbound & Down, Californication, Once Upon a Time, and, most recently, on the final season of Sons of Anarchy. While we wait for the Season 3 premiere of Salem, the network has released a brief trailer which gives us our first look at Marilyn Manson’s character, Thomas Dinley, and we also have the Comic-Con trailer as well....

The Avengers will start shooting this summer and one of the stars of Marvel’s superhero ensemble recently spoke about the upcoming movie. Mark Ruffalo will portray Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk in the adventure and here’s what he had to say about the adventure. We reported last month that a stuntman named Brandon Molale revealed on Twitter he tried out to portray the motion-captured Hulk. It seems that Mark Ruffalo will in fact portray both Bruce Banner and the motion-captured Hulk in The Avengers....

Director Michael Bay’s new film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen hits theaters this week, but he’s apparently not too happy that enough people don’t know about it. According to The Hollywood Reporter, an email from Bay to Paramount executives was leaked by TMZ in which Bay blasts the studio for the lack of marketing with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The email, sent on May 4, has an angered Bay accusing the studio of not putting in enough effort in the marketing of the movie....

Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” will resonate strongly with fans and critics as a fitting tribute to pop music’s greatest icon. Director Kenny Ortega was wise to show the effort, talent, and sheer magnitude of Jackson’s preparation for his last fifty concerts in London. It’s truly sad that the show will never be seen, because the rehearsals documented in “This Is It” are incredible. Michael is portrayed as the consummate perfectionist....

It seems that everyone is talking about Morbius this weekend, but not really in any way that involves the newest addition to Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. Instead, all attention is on the appearances of Michael Keaton’s Vulture in the movie, and lack of references to Spider-Man, which the trailers all alluded to. With the film having crashed to a dismal critic rating, audiences have been more forgiving with the living vampire’s debut, but director Daniel Espinosa has now explained why that trailer scene including a Spider-Man mural did not make it into the final film....

In its entirety, the deal will allow Netflix members to instantly watch the first five seasons of the hit ABC franchise Lost, seasons four and five of the pop culture phenomenon Desperate Housewives, season five of the critically acclaimed Grey’s Anatomy and seasons one and two of the syndicated epic action-adventure fantasy series Legend of the Seeker from ABC Studios....
