A new poster has been released for the sixth and final season of Lucifer. With the beginning of the end now in sight, the final episodes of the popular series will bow on Sept. 10. Warner Bros. has set writer Malcolm Spellman to develop a feature based on the classic TV show Soul Train. According to Variety, Darryl Porter and Aaron Geller of Porter/Geller Prods. will produce with Don Cornelius, the host and producer of the famed show, which ran from 1971-2006. Spellman said that he’s writing a film set in the 1980s. “All of the hip-hop street dances you see today were born during that time period and were first seen on that show, and I remember doing all of them when I was a kid,” said Spellman, whose credits include Dead Presidents....

Manifest is a 2018 series from the imaginings of Jeff Rake. It is a tension-filled dramatic science fiction mystery that took NBC by storm. No one expected the success Manifest would become. Upon its airing, the show drew parallels to similarly categorized content such as Lost, Stephen King’s The Langoliers, and the film Final Destination. However, as it turned out, Manifest was not quite comparable to the others. It was in a league all its own....

Michael Moore has announced he’s nearly finished with his follow-up documentary, Sicko for The Weinstein Co. He emailed his supporters the news on Friday, says Variety, that the film is about three-quarters done. Moore writes “We’ve spent the better part of the year shooting our next movie, Sicko. As we’ve done with our other films, we don’t discuss them while we are making them. If people ask, we tell them Sicko is ‘a comedy about the 45 million people with no health care in the richest country on Earth....

The Marvel shows that previously streamed at Netflix are seeing some of their characters getting new life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, leaving fans to wonder who could be the one that shows up next. We have already seen Charlie Cox return as Daredevil on both the big and small screens with appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Meanwhile, Vincent D’Onofrio has also reprised his role as Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk in Hawkeye and is set to reunite with Cox for the upcoming Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again....

Sony’s release of Morbius didn’t exactly set the world alight as many had expected thanks to a disjointed feeling that was hindered by attempts to link it to Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, according to actor Al Madrigal the debut of the living vampire is not a bad movie, but it suffered to much editing. Coming hot on the heels of Marvel Studios’ $1.8 billion blockbuster, Morbius still managed to make a profit thanks to its moderate budget, but the $150 million box office wasn’t really what anyone wanted from the film....

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter it looks like Antoine Fuqua and Nicholas Pileggi’s crime drama could sleep with the fishes at Morgan Creek. It seems that Linda Schiro, the ex-girlfriend of deceased Colombo crime family leader Gregory “The Grim Reaper” Scarpa, has filed a lawsuit against the company in an effort to stop the release of the planned movie. Schiro is also suing for “punitive damages.” Schiro and her daughter “Little Linda” claim that they spoke with writer Nicholas Pileggi (Goodfellas) and Training Day director Antoine Fuqua....

NBC unveiled its extensive “TV 360” realization for the breakout-hit Heroes. The digital extensions, which launch with the return of original episodes of the show on Monday, January 22nd, will include exclusive and original content made available on several alternative platforms, sponsored in part by Nissan. The announcement was made by Jeff Gaspin, President NBC Universal Cable Entertainment, Digital Content and Cross Network Strategy. “This is particularly exciting because it’s the most developed TV 360 application we’ve created for a scripted series, and the first to use this level of interactivity,” said Gaspin....

The Lost City directors will soon be turning their attention to bringing He-Man and the Masters of the Universe into live-action for Netflix, and the filmmakers have now named their cinematic muse for completing such a daunting task: the MCU outing Thor: Ragnarok. Speaking with DiscussingFilm, director Adam Nee explained how Masters of the Universe will approach the zanier aspects of He-Man lore, using the tone of the third Thor adventure as a foundation....

Embattled actor Noel Clarke will not be charged criminally for the accusations made against him in 2021, but the effect on his career has been detrimental. The two-time BAFTA winner has spoken out after Metropolitan Police officially ceased their investigation into Clarke’s alleged wrongdoing. Police say that the allegations did not “meet the threshold for further police inquiry.” Speaking with The Daily Mail for the first time since the investigation was closed, Clarke described how the allegations had not only cost him several acting roles but even resulted in the closure of his production company....
