I had a chance to speak with this comedian over the phone about his new DVD and here’s what he had to say....

Makers of the tropical island drama Lost say they’re talking with ABC executives about setting an end date for the series. There’s no sense the finale is coming anytime soon. The upcoming Red Sonja reboot from Millennium Films has reportedly lost its lead star, as Ant-Man and the Wasp actress Hannah John-Kamen departs the project. While the Marvel star did assure fans that the Red Sonja movie was still in development as recently as last year, a new report from The Illuminerdi claims John-Kamen has now dropped out. “Sadly, our sources say that Hannah John-Kamen has fallen out from the film and the production team is looking to cast a new actress for the lead role of Red Sonja,” the report reads....

Netflix today announces that Executive Producers / Directors, Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, are in production on new episodes of the Emmy-nominated Making a Murderer. The new installments will take fans of the acclaimed documentary series back inside the story of convicted murderer Steven Avery, and his co-defendant, Brendan Dassey, as their respective investigative and legal teams challenge their convictions and the State fights to have the convictions and life sentences upheld....
A U.S. federal appeals court in Chicago has affirmed the overturned conviction of Brendan Dassey, whose case was highlighted on the gripping Netflix documentary series Making a Murderer. Three judges from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit voted 2-1 to uphold the overturned conviction issued by U.S. Magistrate William Duffin of Milwaukee in August 2016. The court also granted a writ of habeus corpus, which means that Brendan Dassey must either be released, or re-tried by the state, meaning he may not be set free just yet....
While many financial minds at some of the biggest movie studios in Hollywood might disagree, Martin Scorsese has blasted those who judge movies on their box office performance and says that the obsession with those figures means cinema is being “devalued, demeaned” and “belittled from all sides.” Scorsese was appearing at the New York Film Festival on Wednesday, introducing his New York Dolls documentary, Personality Crisis: One Night Only, when he put forward his outspoken views on the Hollywood machine....
Marvel Studios, a subsidiary of Marvel Entertainment, Inc., and the Writers Guild of America (WGA) announced today that they have reached an interim comprehensive agreement that will put writers immediately back to work on the Marvel Studios development slate. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. “We’re very excited about our summer releases, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk, and look forward to resuming work with writers on our future projects including Captain America, Thor, Ant-Man, and The Avengers,” said Marvel Studios Chairman David Maisel....
Warner Home Video is getting ready to launch Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 on Blu-ray and DVD September 25, the first in their two-part adaptation of Frank Miller’s classic graphic novel. Heat Vision is reporting that Mike Finch and Alex Litvak (the screenwriters who wrote Predators), are going to write Masters of the Universe for Columbia. The studio grabbed the movie rights to the 1980s Mattel toy property this past fall, when Mattel and Warner Bros. split after the sides couldn’t agree on a creative vision. Adding the writers is “the first major move on the property and signals the project is being rebuilt from the ground up....
20th Century Fox has won the distribution rights to the upcoming novel Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children, written by Ransom Riggs. The novel centers around a 16-year-old boy named Jacob, who somehow discovers a hidden home off the coast of Wales which houses youngsters with special gifts. The book won’t be published until June 7, although the story caught the attention of many industry players. Peter Chernin will produce Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children along with Jenno Topping....
If you haven’t caught up with The Defenders on Netflix yet, there will be some minor SPOILERS below, at least in regards to the popular Luke Cage character Misty Knight, played by Simone Missick. She was one of the many characters from the Marvel Netflix side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to join forces with The Defenders to rid the scourge known as The Hand from Hell’s Kitchen, and she certainly paid the price, but now our first photo from Luke Cage Season 2 confirms that Misty Knight will have a new look this season, that matches up with the comic book version of her character....
