Okay, I confess going into this one that I wasn’t expecting a whole lot out of it. I have seen very, VERY, few good movies involving sasquatches. In fact, the last time I saw even CLOSE to a good movie involving sasquatches it didn’t even involve sasquatches at all, but rather was Lalo Schifrin’s Abominable, which featured abominable snowmen. Primal, sadly, has absolutely nothing to suggest that it will be anything better....

Netflix has dropped an official release date along with our first look at the upcoming live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop. In development for years, the project has been a long time coming, and various production delays certainly haven’t helped matters. Fortunately, we now know when we’re getting the series, as Netflix has announced that it will premiere on Nov. 19, 2021. You can check out the first look photos of the new series below....

Sitcoms come a dime a dozen, but so few of them are able to make a lasting impact on the world beyond accumulating a few seasons with moderate success on one of the big basic cable networks. A truly well-done sitcom is something that anybody can enjoy: a funny, light-hearted, and relatable show that can be made for easy viewing, but also tells a compelling story. Unfortunately, the last truly remarkable program that fits that billing is NBC’s The Good Place, which relied on some otherworldly elements....

The Woman King has been a success since its release in mid-September. The film, from director Gina Prince-Bythewood, starring Viola Davis, crossed over the $75 million mark at the box office, holding a 94% critic and 99% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Last night, from 9pm-11pm, AMC premiered Season 6 of Mad Men, delivering a 2.5 HH rating with 3.4 million viewers. Among the core demo of adults 25-54, Mad Men delivered 1.7 million viewers. For adults 25-54, the series is up 30% when compared to Season 5’s full series average, which was 1.3 million viewers. For total viewers, Mad Men is up 29% when compared to season five’s full series average, which was 2....

Henry Cavill will return to DC as Man of Steel 2 begins development at Warner Bros. Discovery. Netflix announced today that their highly-anticipated series Marco Polo will premiere at 12:01am PT on December 12, 2014 in all territories where Netflix is available. In this month’s Prop Store Auction there have been many opportunities for film fans to grab their own piece of cinema history…but only if they have a decent wad of cash lying around. From original Gremlins animatronics, to a full scale DeLorean, there were plenty of items that sold for $250,000 or less, but an X-Wing Fighter model used in Star Wars: A New Hope became the star of the show after selling for $2,375,000; more than double the original estimates....

Last night, it was revealed that the American Idol journey ended for finalist Melinda Doolittle, who received the fewest votes after Tuesday’s show. In addition, Season Five finalist Elliott Yamin returned to the American Idol stage to perform the song “Wait for You” from his new self-titled CD, “Elliott Yamin,” followed by a special performance of “Makes Me Wonder” by Maroon 5. Tuesday’s penultimate performance show of the season featured the Top 3 singers each singing three songs: judge’s choice, contestant’s choice and producers’ choice....

Early reactions to Sony’s upcoming comic book movie outing, Morbius, are likely to be exactly what many would expect. While the individual reactions themselves have yet to emerge, a tweet about the early reactions has revealed that those lucky (or perhaps that should be unlucky) enough to have seen Morbius have called the Spider-Man spinoff movie “boring” and “uncalculated.” Coming courtesy of GWW editor Brandon Matthews who took to social media to share what he’s been hearing regarding Morbius, this certainly does not sound like the kind of thing that Marvel fans wanted to hear....

Neal Moritz and Jay Roach are set to collaborate on the narrative feature remake of documentary The Complete History of My Sexual Failures for Universal Pictures. According to Variety, the pair will produce the comedy, which is being developed as a potential directing vehicle for Roach. The original pic, which was released in the U.K. last year and unspooled at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, chronicled filmmaker Chris Waitt’s quest to find out how women from his past perceived him....

Netflix has come under fire more than ever in the last year for the number of new shows that have been canceled after just one or two seasons. While dedicated fans have rallied against the scrapping of shows like Inside Job, Warrior Nun and The Midnight Club, it seems that their social media campaigns and outrage don’t mean much to Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos. In an interview with Bloomberg, Sarandos stood by the decisions made to cancel a lot of shows, and said bluntly that none of the canceled shows were successful enough to warrant them carrying on....

Netflix has released the trailer for Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area Part 1. In this reimagining of the popular Spanish series Casa de Papel (Money Heist), North and South Korea are at point of unification after war. A joint security area, located precisely where the two countries meet, houses a mint printing a new currency intended to join economies. The outcome, however, is not what the countries expect and this act of solidarity, the trailer tells us, makes it so that “only the rich got richer....

Netflix, Inc. (Nasdaq: NFLX) today said it will not rename its DVD-by-mail service and that its U.S. members will continue to go to the Netflix website for both unlimited streaming and unlimited DVDs. Netflix said in a September 18 blog post that its DVD-by-mail service would operate at Qwikster.com. Instead, U.S. members will continue to use one website, one account and one password for their movie and TV watching enjoyment under the Netflix brand....

Fox has released a brand new preview for The X-Files Season 11, slated to debut Wednesday, January 3 at 8 PM ET, which addresses the controversial Season 10 cliffhanger. Both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson appear in this video, with Duchovny stating that the final moments of the Season 10 finale, “looked like the end of the world,” while Anderson added that, “Scully was on the bridge, looking up towards what may have been a UFO....
