In the vast Multiverse of the MCU, we have watched an empire form from 2008 to infinity. Building block upon building block, every movie, Disney+ show, and spinoff has built upon each other in a precarious balance of action, witty one-liners, and stunning CGI. The MCU has famously split its movies into phases, with the films in The Infinity Saga laying down the foundational aspects of the franchise. As such, heading into The Multiverse Saga, it has been exciting for fans to see the newest projects, particularly the news actors and characters being brought into the fold....

An apparent leak may have revealed our best look yet at the updated Batsuit that Michael Keaton will don in his return in both The Flash and Batgirl. While unconfirmed, the images (released courtesy of Twitter user @Moth_Culture) look a lot like what we have seen so far in set images and promo material and would certainly provide Keaton with the perfect suit for his Batman return. Looking a lot like the Batsuits the actor wore in both Tim Burton’s Batman in 1989 and its sequel Batman Returns in 1992, Michael Keaton’s new superhero costume retains the same yellow Bat-symbol while appearing to be made out of more modern materials....

If we’re getting a new Superman in the DCU, then surely new incarnations of Lois Lane and Lex Luthor are sure to follow. Courtesy of James Gunn and Peter Safran, the future plans for Superman are changing dramatically as the plans for the DCU’s movie slate come together. Controversially, Gunn and Safran have nixed all plans for Henry Cavill’s Superman to continue on in the DCU. This is because Gunn is penning the script for another Superman film that will introduce a younger version of the extra-terrestrial superhero....

The Academy of Country Music is announced that country music superstars Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood and new artists Rodney Atkins and Miranda Lambert will perform as part of the sold out 42 Academy of Country Music Awards. The ceremony, which honors country music’s top talent as well as the industry’s hottest emerging talent, will be broadcast LIVE from MGM GRAND in Las Vegas on Tuesday, May 15th, 2007 at 8:00 PM ET/PT on the CBS Television Network....

You can bring the newest Wong Kar Wai film home on DVD this July. My Blueberry Nights will be released on DVD on July 1. The disc, which is part of WeinsteinCo’s Miriam Collection, will be priced at $19.97 SRP. The film stars Norah Jones, Jude Law, David Strathairn, Rachel Weisz and Natalie Portman. Oscar nominee Jude Law and Grammy Award-winning singer Norah Jones star in this “ravishing triumph… [of] pure romantic sensibility” (Armond White, New York Press)....

While other trailers for the Doctor Strange sequel have shown Strange visiting Wanda, and images of Elizabeth Olsen’s character appearing in multiple forms, including that seen in WandaVision, the new footage has also shown the return of Wanda’s children from the series. The kids were last heard in the post credit scene of the show as Wanda perused the Darkhold in search of a way to save them from what is now clearly another dimension of the multiverse....

The Walking Dead Season 8 saw Maggie and Daryl looking to take action against Rick over his leadership and the latest Season 9 trailer puts the focus on that relationship strain. Both Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan are leaving after this season, which will force a major change for the hit AMC series. Cohan has said that her Maggie character will not be killed off, but the future of Lincoln’s Rick character is unclear at this time....

After 25 years, the John Woo action-thriller Face/Off still holds up in the eyes of at least one of its two main stars. Directed by Woo and written by Mike Werb and Michael Colleary, Face/Off was released in theaters in 1997. Despite its bizarre premise, which featured an FBI agent (John Travolta) and a criminal mastermind (Nicolas Cage) trading faces (and lives, subsequently), the film was a tremendous hit. In addition to widespread acclaim, making the film one of the most memorable action movies of the 90s, it also pulled in more than $245 million at the box office....

You can bring home the crazy antics of another museum brought to life on DVD and Blu-ray this December. Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on December 1. The film will be released in a single-disc edition ($29.98 SRP), two-disc “Monkey Mischeif” special editon ($34.98 SRP) and a “Triple Play” Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy three-disc edition ($39.99 SRP). All of these DVD and BD editions will come with a “Golden Ticket” where you can enter to win a trip to the Smithsonian for a family of four....

Legendary Pictures is in talks with Benjamin Walker to join Paradise Lost, playing the role of the archangel Michael in the Alex Proyas-directed action epic about the battle between good and evil, inspired by the John Milton poem. Bradley Cooper is attached to play Lucifer. After being cast out of Heaven, Lucifer mounts an army that battles the forces of good. Paradise Lost is likely to be 3D with soaring set pieces....

Patrick Fugit has signed on for the lead role in Cinemax’s new TV series Outcast, based on the comic book by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. The story centers on Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit), a young man who has been possessed by a demon since he was a young child. He sets off on a journey to learn why this demon resides within him, while uncovering something that could end all life as we know it....

Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson poked some fun at the celebrity love triangle he’s found himself embroiled in during his set at Netflix is a Joke: The Festival, and the footage has since made its way online. Following the very public and widely-reported on split between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Davidson had become a part of the story by striking up a romance with Kardashian. Davidson and West have since been feuding, and some new shots are fired in the Netflix festival clip which you can watch below....

Peter Morgan has started work on a follow-up to The Queen that will dig into former U.K. prime minister Tony Blair’s relationships with U.S. presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, according to Variety. The movie will focus on Blair’s reaction to the handover of power from Clinton, a natural liberal ally, to Bush, who came from the other end of the political spectrum. The project will be the third film in Morgan’s “Blair trilogy,” which began with Channel 4 telepic The Deal and continued with The Queen....

Empire star Jussie Smollett had his criminal record wiped clean earlier today as charges against him were dropped. The actor was accused of staging a fake attack, which caught wide spread media attention. Having the criminal charges against him erased came as quite a shock to many. But apparently this does not mean he is innocent in the matter. In fact, the state attorney handling the high-profile case claims Jussie Smollett is very guilty of the crimes he is accused of committing....

Iconic filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is not the biggest fan of Marvel movies, something that’s been apparent given some recent remarks he’s had to say about them, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t get why younger audiences enjoy them. For Tarantino, he simply feels that the superhero movie trend came along too late for him to enjoy it, as he grew out of comic books many years ago. In an interview with Howard Stern for The Howard Stern Show, Tarantino opened up on how he feels about superhero movies and why he doesn’t want to get involved with making one....

Warner Bros. is closing a deal for actor Ryan Gosling to star in the remake of Logan’s Run. The studio is also finalizing a deal for Nicolas Winding Refn to direct. Ryan Gosling just recently worked with Nicolas Winding Refn on the action project Drive, which is set for release sometime next year and centers on a Hollywood stunt driver who also takes on gigs as a criminal getaway driver....

While Gal Gadot has made an impact in the DCEU as Wonder Woman, for older fans, the real on-screen iteration of Diana Prince will always be Lynda Carter. After playing the iconic superhero between 1975 to 1979, Carter’s depiction of the character is still used as the most recognizable version of Wonder Woman in her red and gold top and white shorts, but with a new Wonder Woman on the block, Carter has been describing how she felt seeing her role being played by someone else for the first time....

The ever-creative auteur, M. Night Shyamalan, has been in the filmmaking business for three decades but still has plenty of ideas for even more mind-bending thrillers. In an interview with Collider, Shyamalan confirmed that he already has an outline for three new films: He didn’t spill any details about what those three films could be about, but we know they’ll all be separate and unrelated to each other. While he said he wouldn’t take any shortcuts, he confirmed that he’d make those films relatively quickly, with two to three years between each film....

TNT has renewed its hit original series Major Crimes, the year’s #1 new cable drama. TNT has ordered 15 episodes of the Warner Bros. Television crime drama, which features two-time Oscar nominee Mary McDonnell leading an outstanding ensemble cast. Major Crimes currently airs Mondays at 9 PM (ET/PT) on TNT, with the first season finale slated for mid-October and the second season scheduled to roll out in summer 2013. “With Major Crimes, James Duff and his amazing production team have crafted an incredibly entertaining show that not only honors the spirit of The Closer, but also stands alone with its own voice and spirit,” said Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM)....
