Jennifer Garner was forced to drop out of the project due to her recent pregnancy. We reported last month that Sam Rockwell replaced Jeremy Renner. The story centers around a pharmacist (Sam Rockwell) stuck in a dead-end marriage, who starts an affair with a trophy wife (Olivia Wilde). When the pharmacist introduces his new lover to prescription drugs, things spiral out of control as they hatch a plot to kill her husband....

Actor Anthony Head (Merlin, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has signed on to portray Chiron in Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. The British actor replaces Pierce Brosnan, who played the Centaur character in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: Lightning Thief. Chiron is in charge of Camp Half-Blood, where demigods like the title character receive their training. This is the second character from Percy Jackson & the Olympians: Lightning Thief who has been recast in the past week, after we reported that Nathan Fillion is replacing Dylan Neal as Hermes....

Adam Devine is reprising his role as Bumper Allen in the Peacock spin-off series, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin. The series has been in production in Berlin since March of this year, with an official release date announced for Nov. 23rd. Bumper was originally the leader of Bellas’ rival a cappella group, the Treblemakers. He then became a love interest to Rebel Wilson’s Fat Amy Character before auditioning for the singing competition, The Voice, in the post-credit scenes....

Tenacious D is coming back in a big way this fall. The greatest band in the world is releasing a brand new web series and album, both titled Post-Apocalypto. The web series, set to premiere on YouTube, will consist of six episodes in total and will all feature new songs from the upcoming album. The band has released a teaser for the web series as well, which is done in the same style as a recent tour announcement video Tenacious D released earlier this year....

Lionsgate announced today that it has acquired North American distribution rights to 2009 Sundance Film Festival sensation Push: Based on the Novel by Sapphire. Directed by Lee Daniels (Shadowboxer), Push: Based on the Novel by Sapphire won both the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award in the U.S. Dramatic Competition, only the third film in Festival history to do so. The newly woke Logan Paul didn’t last very long. The YouTube star started the year off with some controversy after he posted a video of himself and a friend laughing at a dead body in Japan’s Suicide Forest. He quickly removed the video, but the damage had already been done and YouTube removed him from their top-tier advertising. Paul then decided to change his tune to help people and set out on a suicide awareness campaign with serious videos, but now YouTube has completely pulled advertising from his channel after he posted videos about Tide Pods and using a Taser on dead rats....

Author-filmmaker Ian Halperin (“Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson”) is bringing his 88-minute documentary Gone Too Soon to the bigscreen, which is culled from 300 hours of footage shot inside Michael Jackson’s camp. According to Variety, the film is set for a theatrical run in Canada and France, via Transit Medias, on June 25 – the first anniversary of Jackson’s death. Footage in Gone Too Soon includes video and audio of Jackson shot before his death....
