With a focus on strong launches for its crop of new Fall series, NBC has adjusted its new 2006-07 primetime program schedule by re-positioning several series, including “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip,” “Kidnapped,” “Deal or No Deal,” “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” and marking the Fall return of “Crossing Jordan.” The changes were announced by Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment, who said: “We’ve enjoyed an extremely successful development season and are going to do what it takes to give each new series the strongest launch we can....

Sad news to report today, especially for fans of HBO’s popular vampire drama True Blood. Actor and one of the main stars of the show Nelsan Ellis has passed away at the young age of 39. Reps for the actor have confirmed that Ellis died due to complications from heart failure. Nelsan Ellis was best known for playing the demon-possessed medium Lafayette Reynolds on True Blood. HBO addressed the news about the actor’s death in a statement released this afternoon....

When a live-action version of a lovable animation fails, it fails hard. There are a lot of titles that were extremely popular in anime but, once adapted, became box office busts. In advance of today’s first-ever Freeform Summit event in Los Angeles, Disney’s young adult television network, today announced a put pilot commitment for a reboot of the fan-favorite Party of Five series with original creators Chris Keyser and Amy Lippman. From Sony Pictures Television, the Party of Five Reboot will follow the five Buendias children as they navigate daily life struggles to survive as a family unit after their parents are suddenly deported back to Mexico....

According to his official website, Pierce Brosnan is going into the jungle first before stepping into Thomas Crown’s shoes again. Brosnan stated on his site that, “The Thomas Crown Affair 2 is in full swing with various location scouts completed in Dubai, Berlin, and Istanbul. Quentin Tarantino has always been quite outspoken about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and in a recent interview, he continued to rally against the guaranteed success machine that the MCU has become. If you’re looking for a legal way to copy DVD’s without that pesky illegality thing hanging over your head, RealNetworks may have the solution. According to The Hollywood Reporter, RealNetworks is set to unveil RealDVD, which will legally enable you to copy a DVD to your PC for storage and future viewing. “There are a bunch of illegal DVD rippers out there,” said Jeff Chasen, VP of RealNetworks. “We are one of the first mainstream PC applications that do this in a legal framework....

As noted by Variety, Abbey Road Studios is a location that is synonymous with the Beatles. The studio, located on Abbey Road in north London, is where Paul McCartney and his fellow bandmates recorded most of their albums. Interim Jeopardy! host Mayim Bialik has been doing an excellent job on Jeopardy! in the opinion of many viewers, but the Big Bang Theory star getting the gig was not without its controversy. The reimagined Velma Dinkley will arrive next month. As has been previously reported, Mindy Kaling is introducing a new incarnation of the bespectacled mystery-solver in Velma, an adult animated series at HBO Max. On Tuesday, it was revealed (via TVLine) that Velma has been given a premiere date of Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023. It’s not yet clear when and how subsequent episodes will be released following the premiere. Velma is described by HBO Max as an “adult animated comedy series telling the origin story of Velma Dinkley, the unsung and under appreciated brains of the Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc....

2022 has already been an impressive year for horror movies, with Scream and Texas Chainsaw Massacre starting off the year. Luckily, there are still several interesting features to come. Last year was also a great year for the horror genre. 2021 saw movies like M. Night Shyamalan’s Old, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, the Fear Street trilogy and the Candyman remake. This year will also see a few remakes and sequels, like the long-awaited Hocus Pocus 2 and the remake of Stephen King’s ‘Salem’s Lot, which was originally released on screen in 1979, and is based on the book of the same name....

Hasbro, makers of such toy properties as G.I. Joe and Transformers, is getting into the 3D game with their brand new device called My3D, which will allow viewers to view 3D content on their IPhones and IPads. Resembling the old View-Master toy made popular in the forties and fifties, the My3D will retail for $30 when it goes on sale this Spring. The Itunes App store will carry games and other types of media such as movie trailers and clips that will be used by the My3D device....
