If you ask Mike Tyson, perhaps Chris Rock should have filed a lawsuit after getting smacked on the head during the Academy Awards ceremony back in March. Live on television, Rock was infamously slapped by Best Actor Oscar-winner Will Smith over a joke told about Jada Pinkett Smith. Weeks later, it was announced Smith would be banned from Academy events for ten years, but that night, there were no consequences for Smith, as he was allowed to remain in his seat and give an impassioned speech later in the evening after winning his Oscar....

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Miley Cyrus is now attached to star in an adaptation of Lisa McMann’s young-adult paranormal thriller novel Wake. The film will be made by Paramount Pictures and MTV Films Christopher Landon (Disturbia) is going to adapt the book for the screen. Wake is the first of three novels that were written by McMann. They follow a 17-year-old girl named Janie. She has “the unwanted ability to become sucked into people’s dreams....

Casting announcements just keep coming from NBC in regards to their hit show Heroes. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Barry Shabaka Henley, Holt McCallany, David Anders, Japanese pop star Eriko Tamura, Lyndsy Fonseca and Dianna Agron have all signed on for reoccurring roles. Anders is playing the ancient samurai warrior Takezo Kensei, Hiro Nakamura’s childhood hero. While never seen during Heroes’ first season, Kensei played a key part in the show’s plot....

This isn’t the house used for the movie; instead, it is the actual house the Perron family lived in during their experiences with a paranormal entity.
