NBC has issued a pilot commitment for a contemporary remake of the hit CBS series Murder, She Wrote, with Octavia Spencer attached to star. The series will have a lighter tone than the original series, which starred Angela Lansbury and ran for 12 seasons from 1984 to 1996. The story centers on a hospital administrator (Octavia Spencer) whose first self-published mystery novel leads her to become an active part of several crime investigations....

It’s been just over a month since Preacher wrapped up its second season, and if you’ve been impatiently awaiting whether or not the show is coming back, the wait is over. Executive producer and co-creator Seth Rogen took to Twitter this afternoon to confirm that AMC has in fact renewed the hit series. No details were given as to how Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and the rest of the writers and producers plan on following up Preacher Season 2, but hopefully we’ll get more details soon....
Comic book adaptations are abundant on both the big and small screen these days. AMC has arguably the biggest of these adaptations with The Walking Dead, but that isn’t the only comic book adaptation they have in their lineup, because Preacher is coming back for a second season. AMC is continuing with their adaptation of the Vertigo comic and Preacher Season 2 is officially in production.
