In 1981, Sajak began as the host of the hit game show Wheel of Fortune, and he remains in that position to this day. Penny Dreadful is coming back with a brand new sequel series. Showtime has announced the series, titled Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, which brings back writer, producer and creator John Logan, who will once again serve in that same capacity for this new show, is officially a go. This sequel will carry the same name, but will focus on new characters and will take place in an entirely different setting; 1930 Los Angeles....

Netflix took notice of the immense success of Red Notice and now it seems like the streamer wants plenty more where that came from. Deadline reports that two sequels have entered development month after the original was released. Reportedly, the plan is to shoot both movies back to back sometime in 2023. Netflix hasn’t provided an official comment on the report. Original writer-director Rawson Marshall Thurber has begun writing the new installments, and word is the plan is also to bring back the three lead stars from the first movie: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds....

Binge-watching has claimed another victim… Well, that and embezzling. Legendary Actor Robert De Niro’s production company has filed a $6 million lawsuit with the state court in New York against ex-employee, Chase Robinson. The company accused her of binge-watching Friends and embezzling money at work. The other shows on her binge list? Arrested Development, Schitt’s Creek. But the one that gets the better of all of us, Friends, is making the most headlines....

One might think that with one film based on his original comic opening to rave reviews (Wanted) and another original property being currently adapted (Kick-Ass) that Mark Millar would want to continue working with his original creations. Instead, the hot young Scottish writer revealed to UK’s Daily Record that the next comic-based film he hopes to work on is Superman. Millar said: Since I was a kid I’ve always wanted to reinvent Superman for the 21st century....

Still basking in the afterglow of reuniting with the cast of Martin after 30 years, Martin Lawrence was all smiles on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The comedian and actor discussed the 1990s sitcom and its impact, along with the many characters he played on the show. After Fallon asked if he would be interested in a Martin reboot, Lawrence explained that although he wouldn’t mind working with the cast again on another project, he didn’t think a reboot would recapture the essence of the 1992 show....

A few days ago Marvel’s Japanese website caused a stir by revealing two additions to the known Marvel/Disney+ releases due in 2022 in the form of What If…? Season 2 and Secret Invasion. However, the website has now replaced the images of the years’ line-up and removed these two shows from the list, as well as rearranging the remaining shows and movies into a film group and a TV group. The previous layout of the page seemed to show the exact order that Marvel’s slate would be released in the coming year, with movies and Disney+ shows interspersed in one continuous list....

While FX still hasn’t issued a premiere date for their new TV series Legion, the network has given fans a first look at the series with two bizarre promos. The first features Dan Stevens as the main character David Haller, along with our first look at Aubrey Plaza as Lenny, both of whom are staring at an unidentified drooling man. The second promo gives us a glimpse at David Haller’s incredibly unique mutant powers....

DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. today announced that Kevin Lima (Enchanted, Tarzan) will direct the upcoming feature film Monkeys of Mumbai (working title), the studio’s first-ever Bollywood-style animated musical adventure. Lisa Stewart (Turbo, Monsters Vs. Aliens) and Christopher Chase (Enchanted, Tarzan) will serve as producers on the project. As previously announced, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, The Prince of Egypt, Enchanted) is serving as executive producer and lyricist, A.R. Rahman (127 Hours, Slumdog Millionaire, Bombay Dreams) is serving as executive producer and composer, and Gurinder Chadha & Paul Mayeda Berges (Bride and Prejudice, Bend It Like Beckham) are writing the feature project....

Showtime has picked up the new workplace comedy series Moonbase 8, which follows John C. Reilly (Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story), Tim Heidecker (Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!), and Fred Armisen (Portlandia) as a trio of inept NASA astronauts. In development since 2018, the series had previously wrapped filming and was being shopped to potential buyers. Now, it has been reported that the series will land at Showtime with plans for the network to debut Moonbase 8 sometime this fall....

Many Brady Bunch fans were distraught over the fact that Jan Brady wasn’t included in the first wave of Funko Pop! figures. However, they were just saving the best for last. The massively popular toy manufacturer has announced that Jan is getting her own set, including her imaginary boyfriend George Glass just in time for October’s New York Comic-Con. The rest of the bunch will be available in stores next week....

Apple today released the first official trailer for its highly anticipated, original comedy series, Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet, created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Megan Ganz - the team behind It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. All nine, half-hour episodes of the live-action comedy will debut globally on Friday, February 7, exclusively on Apple TV+. The series is produced by Lionsgate, 3 Arts Entertainment and Ubisoft.
