NBC is developing along with scribe Jared Bush, a music-themed drama project Soundtrack. According to Variety, the hourlong script revolves around a misguided man whose life begins being accompanied by the music in his head. In Soundtrack, the lead character has lost his job and his ex-girlfriend has gotten engaged to someone else. That’s when he starts to hear the music – the same, iconic song, over and over again, which doesn’t go away until he figures out its significance – and then it’s on to the next track....

NBC unveiled the 12 all-new American Gladiators ready to take on 24 fierce competitors when the ultimate competition show returns with a modern reinvention on Sunday, January 6 (9-11 p.m. ET). The events have been upgraded, and so have the Gladiators! The new combatants - six men and six woman – are bigger, stronger and more intense then their predecessors, providing the toughest challenge the everyday contenders will ever face....

The hit Netflix teen-drama-slash-romantic-comedy, Heartstopper, has now officially been renewed for not one, but two more seasons on the streaming platform. Netflix took to social media to announce the news, revealing that, unlike the fate of oh so many series on the service, Heartstopper will not face a sudden and unexpected cancellation. Instead, it will return for much, much more. “To those who have fallen in love with Nick & Charlie, cried watching Alice Oseman’s magical story brought to life, or felt represented for the first time on-screen,” Netflix said in a short statement on social media, “I am elated to announce…Heartstopper has been renewed for TWO MORE SEASONS!...

Netflix has just dropped an official trailer for Raising Dion season 2. Based on the 2015 comic book and short film of the same name by Dennis Liu, Raising Dion is a superhero drama series that premiered on Netflix in 2019. Fans who’ve been looking forward to new episodes will be happy to know they arrive on Feb. 1, and until then, you can get a peek at what’s to come by watching the new trailer below....

Paramount Pictures just released another TV spot for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. In addition, a new behind-the-scenes video has surfaced of director Stephen Sommers explaining the Accelerator Suit chase scene through Paris. Check the out below! G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is the live-action feature based on Hasbro’s line of action figures. While some remember the character from its gung-ho fighting man ’60s incarnation, he’s evolved. G.I. Joe is now a Brussels-based outfit that stands for Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity, an international co-ed force of operatives who use hi-tech equipment to battle Cobra, an evil organization headed by a double-crossing Scottish arms dealer....

Two new trailers hit the web today, animated style. We have the new trailers for Kung Fu Panda and Igor. Kung Fu Panda hits theaters on June 6 and stars the voice talents of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan and Ian McShane. Igor will be released on September 19 and features the voices of John Cusack, Steve Buscemi, Jay Leno, Eddie Izzard, Sean Hayes, John Cleese, Molly Shannon, Jennifer Coolidge and Arsenio Hall....

Although Obi-Wan Kenobi has the ancient Jedi’s name in the title, the young Leia Organa (Vivien Lyra Blair) is stealing all the scenes. We know where both characters end up, with Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) becoming an older Jedi and Leia taking the position of leader of an intergalactic rebellion. And though we have seen three movies detailing Obi-Wan’s growth, Leia’s character in the original trilogy, while still interesting, remains largely the same throughout the narrative....

Earlier today, we reported that ABC has renewed their reality staples Dancing with the Stars, The Bachelor, and Shark Tank. We also have word that the network has issued early renewals to seven scripted series: Once Upon a Time, Revenge, Grey’s Anatomy, Castle, and the Wednesday comedies The Middle, Suburgatory, and Modern Family. Once Upon a Time was the top-rated new drama series this season, with the soapy series Revenge also posting strong numbers in the Wednesday 10 PM time slot....

Oscar prognosticating is a dicey business. If you’re wrong you look like a schmuck and if you’re right, well, who cares? It’s not like you’re predicting the outcome of a political election or a revolution. And any true film buff too often confuses his or her own personal taste for that of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (which is a notoriously motley crew or 5,800 or so loons if ever there was one)....

The new NBC series Outlaw has become the latest first-year series to be canceled, according to Deadline TV. The legal series starring Jimmy Smits struggled right out of the gate in its Friday night slot at 10 PM ET. The production of the show, which has shot eight episodes, was put on hiatus last week, with the most recent episode dropping even further in the ratings on Friday, which lead to its cancelation....

The Simon Cowell-produced story of a rags-to-riches reality music star is moving ahead at Paramount, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project, about the life of opera singer Paul Potts, has attached The Bucket List scribe Justin Zackham to pen the screenplay. It also has been given a name, One Chance, based on the singer’s last-ditch effort to make a career in music by competing on the Britain’s Got Talent television show....

In an early celebration of the streaming service’s one-year anniversary, Paramount has provided an update for the upcoming Teen Wolf movie. It has been confirmed that Teen Wolf will premiere on Paramount+ sometime in late 2022. It has also been revealed that the upcoming film will also set up a brand-new original series titled Wolf Pack. The recently announced spin-off series will be based on the books written by Edo van Belkom....

Microsoft announced a landmark partnership today between Academy Award-winning writer, director and producer Peter Jackson, Academy Award-winning screenwriter Fran Walsh, and Microsoft Game Studios. The partners will create two new interactive entertainment series exclusively for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live. The first series will be a collaborative effort with Bungie Studios to co-create the next great chapter in the Halo universe. The second series will be an entirely original property targeted at bringing new audiences into the captivating world of interactive entertainment....

We recently attended a press conference that was hosted by Disney for the upcoming film, Prey. Director Dan Trachtenberg, producer Jhane Myers, and stars Amber Midthunder and Dakota Beavers each attended the event which was moderated by Collider’s Perri Nemiroff. During the 30-minute event, each participating member revealed tons of insight into the production and what fans can expect to see in the upcoming film. Prey is currently scheduled to release via streaming next month on August 5, 2022, exclusively on Hulu....

Work on a sequel to the 1996 disaster movie hit, Twister, has now begun. But sadly, Prey director Dan Trachtenberg will not be at the helm. Despite recent reports claiming that Trachtenberg is being sought-after to direct Twister 2, which it has now been revealed will be titled Twisters, the filmmaker himself has now taken to Twitter to refute such claims. The reports of him directing have been greatly exaggerated, it seems....

The Good This movie creates a nice mood of impending doom. The Bad I just was never grabbed by this story or the effects of Gustave. Dominic Purcell plays reporter Tim Manfrey in the seen it before Primeval. This film centers around a large crocodile named Gustave that fed off the bodies of people killed during the civil war in South Africa. When one of his stories blows up in Tim’s face, he is sent by his boss to cover an attempt to try and catch this beast....

Quentin Tarantino is a legendary filmmaker responsible for several classics, including Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2, Inglorious Basterds, Django Unchained, and most recently, Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood. The longtime director knows a thing or two about crafting a successful film, so his approval means a lot to anyone within the filmmaking industry. Over the years, Tarantino has expressed his admiration for specific projects, including the British children’s show Peppa Pig, while voicing his displeasure with the mass takeover of mainstream films such as Star Wars or the Marvel Studios films....

Who wants a whodunit mystery with Daniel Craig’s detective Benoit Blanc investigating Ghostface in a Scream movie? Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson seems to have an idea. Rick and Morty is arguably one of the most unique television shows in the contemporary media landscape.
