That’s the biggest domestic box office opening for an original movie since Jordan Peele’s previous film, Us. Nope follows the Haywood’s living on their family ranch when objects mysteriously start falling out of the sky, killing siblings OJ and Emerald’s father. Following the tragic loss, the brother and sister attempt to capture video evidence of an unidentified flying object with the help of a tech salesman (Perea)....

The characters of The Walking Dead are frequently on the receiving end of some nasty injuries. It seems that working on the show can be just as deadly as Norman Reedus recently revealed when recalling how he believed he might die after sustaining a bad head injury during filming earlier this year. The Walking Dead is coming into its home straight, with the final episodes of the main show playing out this Fall, but for fans of Reedus’ Daryl Dixon, the actor will be back soon in his own spin-off show....

As most fans know, when Owen Wilson strikes a match in just about any comedy film he does, the sparks and laughs always fly. In this case, it’s the flick of a paintbrush set to get audiences laughing while on a nostalgic ride back to the 80s and 90s into that niche corner of public television saved just for one person. Luckily, per a Deadline report, viewers will see the charming wit and artistic talent of Wilson’s character Carl Nargle in his new film Paint a little sooner than expected....

Freeform has cancelled their Party of Five reboot series after one season. The 90-minute season one finale aired on March 4th, which will now also serve as the series finale. Original series’ creators Chris Keyser and Amy Lippman were behind the reboot which was an immigration-themed update that revolved around the five Acosta children. In the series, the children have to learn to live like a family unit after their parents are deported to Mexico....

Patricia Arquette has joined the cast of the Untitled Jeff Buckley Biopic for director Jake Scott (Welcome to the Rileys). The actress will portray Mary Guibert, the mother of late guitarist Jeff Buckley. The role is said to be just a cameo, with Patricia Arquette appearing in both flashbacks and in the film’s present day, where she convinces her son to attend the 1991 tribute concert for his father, Tim Buckley....

By order of the Peaky Blinders, the sixth and final season will air on BBC One from February 27, meaning that fans (in the UK at least) don’t have to wait too much longer to once again bask in the gripping crime drama starring Cillian Murphy. Revealed by the official Peaky Blinders Twitter account, it has also since been confirmed that Peaky Blinders Season 6 will consist of six episodes....

Ahead of next month’s premiere, Epix has released an all-new trailer and key art for the Batman prequel series Pennyworth. The series comes from executive producer and writer Bruno Heller (Gotham) and director Danny Cannon (Gotham). Despite these behind-the-scenes connections to Gotham, the show will be an entirely separate story. It tells the backstory of Bruce Wayne’s family butler Alfred Pennyworth and how he was a skilled operative in his youth....

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer says Disney hasn’t pulled the plug just yet on the planned Pirates of the Caribbean movie starring Margot Robbie. Back in 2020, it was reported that a sixth Pirates of the Caribbean film would be happening, but that Robbie would be taking over as the protagonist. Johnny Depp would later testify under oath at his defamation trial that Disney fired him from his role as Captain Jack Sparrow due to allegations of domestic violence made by ex-wife Amber Heard, suggesting that’s what led to the recruitment of Robbie for Pirates 6....

Producers David Permut and Steve Binder have picked up screen rights to Alanna Nash’s 2003 book “The Colonel: The Extraordinary Story of Colonel Tom Parker and Elvis Presley.” According to Variety, Permut and Binder will develop a feature titled The Colonel based on the book about the man with shadowy origins who reinvented himself as the Svengali behind the world’s most famous entertainer. Parker started his showbiz career as a hustler on the carnival circuit before promoting Minnie Pearl and Eddy Arnold....

Perhaps Nicolas Cage will be getting a bit messy when he transforms into Count Dracula for the horror-comedy Renfield. Coming to theaters in 2023, Renfield primarily follows the titular henchman of Dracula, played by Nicholas Hoult, as he attempts to leave his job after falling in love with a traffic cop (Awkwafina). While it seems that the film may lean a bit more into the comedy side of things, we shouldn’t expect for it to be any less bloody, in any case....

Fear not Rick and Morty fans as it looks like the long waits between seasons may well be over with. This, according to star Chris Parnell, who voices Jerry Smith on the beloved animated series. With the second half of season 4 officially underway, Parnell has revealed that he doesn’t expect the wait for season 5 to be nearly as long as the wait has been in the past. During a recent interview in honor of season 4’s return, Chris Parnell addressed the possible wait for season 5....

Riverdale producers shut down today’s production on Season 3 following the news of star Luke Perry’s death. Earlier today, it was reported Perry had died after suffering a massive stroke last week. The actor had been playing a recurring role on The CW’s popular teen drama series as Archie’s father, Fred Andrews. How the series will handle the character following the actor’s death remains to be seen, but for now, the cast and crew is taking a break from filming to pay their respects....

Young actor Logan Williams sadly passed away at the age of sixteen earlier this week. Marlyse Williams, Logan’s mother, says he passed away suddenly, only days away from his seventeenth birthday. Since then, the tributes from friends and colleagues have been pouring in. The young actor is arguably best-known for his stint on The Flash TV series and star Grant Gustin was one of the first to pay tribute on social media....

Love, Death and Robots will be returning to Netflix this month after year-long hiatus. The anthology series showcases individual episodes telling their own short stories in around 15 minutes. Actor Mason Alexander Park, who plays Desire in the hit Netflix series The Sandman, recently revealed that filming for the next episodes will begin this summer.
