Microsoft Corp. today announced that more than 12,000 movies and TV episodes from Netflix Inc., the world’s largest online movie rental service, are now available to watch instantly on the PC using Windows Media Center on PCs with Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate. This newest content addition builds on Microsoft’s goal to create a consistent experience on the PC for consumers to easily enjoy the entertainment of greatest interest to them....

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is all a buzz lately, with a number of new releases set to hit Disney+ before the end of the year, including the unique Moon Knight series. In Phase Four of the MCU, we are seeing a surge in women representation on-screen. From the Black Widow solo film to the upcoming sequel to Captain Marvel, The Marvels, women are taking charge of the MCU. That said, we have yet to see any young teenage girls involved in the MCU, but there’s a first for everything....

Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston are back in the Netflix comedy sequel Murder Mystery 2. Netflix has released a new trailer for the sequel, which once again sees Nick and Audrey Spitz (Sandler and Aniston, respectively) caught up in events beyond their control as they attempt to solve a murder. Murder Mystery was an unexpected success when it was released on Netflix, smashing records for viewership at the time and giving Sandler one of his more successful comedy outings of recent years....

NBC will enhance its current roster of critically acclaimed and creatively ambitious programs with a new 2007-08 primetime lineup that features five new dramas, one new comedy and a variety of fresh unscripted programs, complemented by a host of innovative programming moves, it was announced at NBC’s presentation to advertisers and the media at New York’s Radio City Music Hall. “Last year we promised a return to the NBC legacy of quality, and in terms of awards, buzz and critical acclaim, that’s just what we delivered,” said NBC Entertainment President Kevin Reilly....

NBC has tapped five musical superstars – Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lachey, Kelly Rowland and Blake Shelton to embark on a musical challenge - to create America’s “greatest” choir on NBC’s newest live competition show Clash of the Choirs, airing live over four nights from New York. This live event will premiere on December 17th and continue through December 20th as choirs are voted off by viewers at home. A host will be announced shortly....

NBC’s new mid-season drama The Black Donnellys will premiere on Monday, March 5 (10-11 p.m. ET) – following the hit drama Heroes (9-10 p.m. ET) - while the new comedy Andy Barker, P.I., starring Andy Richter, will debut on Thursday, March 15 (9:30-10 p.m. ET), it was announced by Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment. Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (currently Mondays, 10-11 p.m. ET) will return later this season on a date to be determined....

You can bring home one of the hottest new series’ of this past season on DVD at the end of August. NCIS: Los Angeles: The First Season will be released on DVD on August 31. The Doctor will be facing a new adversary in Neil Patrick Harris in the upcoming Doctor Who 60th anniversary special. At the official website, it was announced that Harris would be playing a villain in the special and is currently filming scenes set to air in 2023. CBS All Access has officially announced Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, an upcoming Discovery spin-off series following the adventures of Captain Christopher Pike. The show will take place in the years before James T. Kirk ultimately replaces Pike as the Captain of the starship, serving as a direct prequel to the events of the original series. Reprising the roles from Star Trek: Discovery, the new spin-off will feature Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels) as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn (X-Men) as Number One, and Ethan Peck (Penny Dreadful: City of Angels) as Science Officer Spock....

It appears wrestling fans may soon be seeing a sequel to the Monday Night Wars, as new wrestling company All Elite Wrestling has just secured a television deal with TNT. AEW and WarnerMedia announced on Wednesday that the series will be airing live programs on a weekly basis starting later this year, in addition to streaming on B/R Live and pay-per-view. This will be the first wrestling program to be shown on the TNT network since the now-defunct World Championship Wrestling (WCW) aired its final episode of Monday Nitro on March 26, 2001, after World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) chairman Vince McMahon bought out the company....

Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again is the perfect installment following the beloved live-action trilogy starring Ben Stiller. The animation is superb along with an excellent voice cast featuring Joshua Bassett as he takes on the starring role as Nick Daley, the newest night guard at the Museum of Natural History. Back in October, Nintendo finally unveiled their new game-changing console system entitled the Nintendo Switch, with a new video and photos that teased this unique new system that switches from a home console to a handheld system. It was never revealed when this new system will go on sale, but the company announced a live-streamed event will take place on January 12, when the price, street date, and much more was expected to be revealed....

It’s official, the beloved anime series One Punch Man is returning for a third season. The reveal has been made by the official One Punch Man website, which took to Twitter to make the exciting announcement that the bald hero Saitama will be back for another outing. Peacock’s upcoming Battlestar Galactica reboot series executive producer Sam Esmail teases an experimental release strategy. The Mr. Robot producer also revealed that Ronald D. Moore, showrunner on SyFy’s Battlestar Galactica reboot, gave him his blessing. Fans of the sci-fi franchise have been waiting for updates on the Peacock series, along with the movie, which is currently in development with Simon Kinberg on board to produce. Mike Lesslie will serve as the showrunner and writer for the Battlestar Galactica reboot pilot episode, according to Sam Esmail....

For once, here’s a box office record that The Dark Knight doesn’t own. According to Variety, the stoner comedy Pineapple Express opened big to the record-breaking tune of $12.5 million, is a new Wednesday record for the month of August. The David Gordon Green-directed comedy beat out The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, which took in $8.5 million in its August 2004 opening Wednesday. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 also fared well on its opening day, taking in $5....
