After holding the box office record for highest grossing movie of all time with Titanic for over ten years, per Collider, director James Cameron smashed his own in record in 2009 with the release of his pièce de resistance: Avatar. The movie has since gone onto gross a staggering $2.924 billion worldwide, still holding the crown as the highest earner. That could all change, however, as, after 19 years of waiting, the highly anticipated sequel Avatar: The Way of Water is set for release later this year....

National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets was the top seller on the DVD sales charts for the week ending June 1, for the second week in a row. However, that was the only category that it remained. NBC will boost its two-hour season premiere of The Biggest Loser on Tuesday, Sept. 11 (8-10 p.m. ET) with the special Where Are They Now? - a tantalizing hour-long appetizer for broadcast the week before on Tuesday, Sept. 4 (8-9 p.m. ET) in which viewers can catch up with the progress of previous favorite “Loser” contestants. Most people might not associate France with disturbing, graphically violent content that makes Hostel and Saw look tame by comparison, and yet at the dawn of the 21st century (with some predecessors), a movement was born which did just that. According to critic James Quandt at ArtForum, who coined the term associated with this filmmaking style, these movies created “a cinema suddenly determined to break every taboo.” Many of the films from the New French Extremity movement are heavily influenced by the body horror of Canadian director David Cronenberg movies, especially his earlier films like Rabid, The Brood, and Videodrome; the film Tetsuo: The Iron Man is also heavily influential....

Ever since it premiered on Hulu in August 2021, Only Murders in the Building has been a runaway hit with critics and audiences. Peter Dinklage isn’t holding back with his thoughts about Disney’s live-action Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs remake. Last year, it was announced that West Side Story star Rachel Zegler would lead the new Snow White film as the titular Disney princess. The Walt Disney Co. will release Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in China on May 20, which is the same day-and-date as U.S. and most of the world, playing in all formats, including 3D and IMAX-3D. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will be one of the 20 imported titles allowed to recoup between 13-17 percent of its box office gross in China each year, where the state-run duopoly of the China Film Group and Huaxia Film Distribution control Hollywood imports and distribution despite a World Trade Organization ruling that says the practice is illegal....

Nickelodeon has unleashed the first trailer for Power Rangers Ninja Steel, coming to Nickelodeon in January 2017!
