In a massive poster drop today, Paramount+ confirmed its commitment to a diverse array of programming for viewers of all ages and creeds, as well as reminding Trekkies of the exciting new series arriving at the platform soon. Among the mountain of diverse streaming content, the company also reminded its viewers of the exciting new series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the newest show in the Alex Kurtzman-helmed Star Trek Universe, premiering May 5th, 2022, with new episodes dropping weekly....

I Am Number Four director D.J. Caruso revealed on his Twitter account that he has completed a deal to direct the adaptation Preacher for Columbia Pictures. Here’s what he had to say. Sam Mendes was originally attached to direct, until he left the project to direct James Bond 23. We also reported back in September that Darren Aronofsky was a contender to direct Preacher, although it seems a deal was never made....

Soundtrack.net is allowing fans to preview the soundtrack for Andrew Adamson’s upcoming epic, “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe”. “The production of the score for The Chronicles of Narnia was on a grand scale. From late September until early November, Harry Gregson-Williams conducted the 75-piece Hollywood Studio Symphony and supervised the recording of the 140-member choir at Abbey Road in London. Additional solo musicians were recorded at his Wavecrest Studio, including vocalist Lisbeth Scott and electric violinist Hugh Marsh....

The New Founding Fathers of America will unleash their patented brand of corrupt catharsis on television viewers when The Purge TV series lands on USA September 4th. The show is written and executive produced by franchise mastermind James DeMonaco, who stepped away from the director’s chair for the last feature film in the series, The First Purge (released last July). His return is significant and not just because it assures us the property is in good hands; the 10-episode series seems to have reinvigorated the filmmaker’s personal commitment to The Purge franchise....

Actress Liv Tyler has signed on to star in The Side Effect for Double Hope Films and director Ti West (The House of the Devil, The Innkeepers). The story centers on Liv Tyler’s character, Catherine Rigby, who spends several months alone in space, to test a pharmaceutical company’s new drugs. Back in March, when production was under way on the Inhumans pilot episode, new set photo surfaced which gave us our first look at both Black Bolt and Lockjaw together. While Anson Mount was seen in full costume on the Vancouver set, the massive canine character Lockjaw was represented by a huge blue statue of sorts, which was nearly as tall as Anson Mount himself, with both characters seen on the streets of Hawaii during the shoot....

A new Star Wars film hasn’t hit theaters since 2019, which saw the Skywalker Saga come to an end with The Rise of Skywalker. Lucasfilm has been focused on building out its television properties over the last few years, finding success with such series as The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett on Disney+. Even though the studio is continuing to expand its streaming offerings, that doesn’t mean there aren’t plans in place for Star Wars to return to the big screen....

Married at First Sight is a reality television show on Lifetime that first aired in 2014. It matches young singles based on “scientific matchmaking,” has them get married upon first meeting, and then follows the couples throughout the first few months of marriage. While it sounds like something you’d watch once and think you’ve seen it all, this social experiment has run for 15 seasons and matched 59 couples. Season 16 began on January 4th, and it doesn’t look like this show is going to stop marrying strangers anytime soon....

Marvel Studios announced today that the World Premiere of its highly anticipated, summer event movie Marvel’s The Avengers will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. The red carpet will roll out at 6 p.m. for the cast and special guests, and the screening will begin at 7 p.m. The event will be sponsored by film promotional partners Acura, Harley-Davidson, and Red Baron Pizza....

According to Home Media Retailing, IDT Entertainment is going to releasing it’s Master’s of Horror short film series on DVD March 28th, 2006 through Anchor Bay Entertainment. This series has been snowballing for some time with a run on Showtime Networks in order to create consumer awareness. The first offerings in the collection will be Cigarette Burns by John Carpenter and Stuart Gordon’s interpretation of the H.P. Lovecraft story, The Dreams in the Witch House....

Actor Matthew Wolf discusses portraying the voice of Thor in Thor: Tales of Asgard Thor, the live-action superhero adventure starring Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder, is well on its way to box office success, taking in just under $120 million after just 10 days at the box office. For superhero fans that want more Thor, but in a different format, Lionsgate is releasing the animated movie Thor: Tales of Asgard, which hits the shelves on Blu-ray and DVD on May 17....

The Tribune and Sinclair broadcast station groups have both extended their commitments to broadcast hit talk show franchise Maury through September 2010, it was announced today by Barry Wallach, President, NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Maury, which is entering its 10th season in national syndication this fall, has been re-upped by the Tribune and Sinclair broadcast stations in the nation’s largest markets, covering nearly half the country for the next three seasons....

The Oscar-winning actor goes the ensemble route for his latest thriller The name Morgan Freeman means power, the man has accolade after accolade, and last year, he won his first Academy Award for Million Dollar Baby. Now, his latest movie is the suspense thriller, Lucky Number Slevin, also starring Sir Ben Kingsley, Josh Hartnett, Lucy Liu, and Bruce Willis. Not to give any of the story away - cause believe me, that would ruin the movie, I will say that this is a definite date movie....

This year, Netflix came in and saved the day with yet another very successful, very crowd-pleasing revival. The four-part miniseries Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life delighted fans of the original series, but it was much too short by many accounts and left fans with at least one burning question. Those disappointed may be in luck, though, because it seems like Netflix just teased some more episodes. Warning, there are spoilers ahead for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life....

Netflix brought the laugh riot all the way from Canada for the whole world to see, and now the show has already concluded six seasons! Navigating the many challenges of motherhood as a working parent is not exactly a laugh riot. Still, the show has depicted everything from postpartum depression to abortion with a sense of humour rarely seen on TV!...
