Morbius flopped again at the box office after being re-released in theaters by Sony. It was initially supposed to come out back in 2020 before COVID ended up delaying the release for two years. When the movie did finally arrive, it received overwhelmingly negative reviews, although Matt Smith’s performance as the main villain received some praise and only grossed $163 million worldwide. You could say that the one area where Morbius succeeded was in internet memes, following a cascade of jokes poking fun at the Marvel bomb....

MTV’s favorite modern-day odd couple is back as the network announced it will premiere season 2 of Rob & Big on multiple screens including MTV, MTV2, MTV.com and iTunes. Fans can catch even more offbeat adventures of professional DC Shoes skateboarder, Rob Dyrdek, his best friend and bodyguard, Christopher “Big Black” Boykin and their trusty bulldog Meaty in eight new episodes. Following the end of Nathan for You on Comedy Central in 2017, Nathan Fielder is now preparing to launch his next television series. The actor and comedian is set to write, direct, executive produce, and star in the comedy series The Rehearsal for HBO. Stemming from an overall deal inked with HBO last year, Fielder’s new show has already been picked up straight to series at the cabler. Christie Smith and Dan McManus at Rise Management will exec produce alongside Fielder....

NBC’s freshman comedy 30 Rock (Thursdays, 9:30-10 p.m. ET) has been picked up for a full-season order for 2006-07, it was announced by Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment. “In 30 Rock, Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels, along with stars Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan, have the goods with this excellent comedy,” said Reilly. “We look forward to future episodes of this bright new show, which is right on-brand for our Thursday-night comedy block....

USA Today has unveiled yet another look at the upcoming 1950’s B-Movie 3D throwback flick, Monsters vs. Aliens! Susan (Reese Witherspoon), toothy Insectosaurus, Dr. Cockroach, Missing Link and B.O.B. from Monsters vs. Aliens. Monsters tickets will cost more because the process adds about $15 million to a film’s budget, but Katzenberg believes audiences will pay for “a premium experience.” That includes hearing Reese Witherspoon as Susan Murphy, a modern-day California girl who has the bad luck to be hit by a meteor on her wedding day and grows to be 49 feet, 11½ inches tall (a wink at 1958’s The Attack of the 50-Foot Woman)....

BonusXP has released a new trailer for Stranger Things 3: The Game. Additionally, it has been announced that the game will be available on July 4th, which is the same date the show premieres exclusively on Netflix. The trailer shows off quite a bit of the game while taking its cues from the show’s first trailer in awesome 16-bit detail. Every year, hundreds of movies are released to the public. It is very rare for any project to get a perfect score on the critical website Rotten Tomatoes. Nicolas Cage’s most recent flick The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is the most recent film to earn 100% on the site. The reviews arrived after the title’s debut on Saturday night at Austin’s SXSW film festival. The score is the highest for the actor’s long career....

Clive Barker is bringing Nightbreed to the small screen at SyFy. We first reported on a possible Nightbreed TV series last October when news broke that the studio Morgan Creek was rebranding and would be looking to reboot some of their library of existing titles in new ways. Now, it looks like they’ve found a partner in SyFy for Nightbreed and will work on bringing the horror tale to television. Here’s what Clive Barker had to say about it in a statement....

Orphan star Isabelle Fuhrman, who reprises the role of serial killer Esther in the recently released Orphan: First Kill, has revealed that discussion has begun over a possible Orphan 3. Speaking with Variety, Fuhrman reveals that she has already had conversations over a further adventure for Esther with producer Alex Mace, and states that she would love to return for more. Sooner rather than later. Fuhrman is far from the only one with Orphan 3 on the brain, with Orphan: First Kill director William Brent Bell revealing to our very own Tim Kraft that he has high hopes of completing the Orphan trilogy....

A pair of Captain Kirks and a pair of Darth Vaders will lend their voice to the independently financed 3-D animated film Quantum Quest: A Cassini Space Odyssey, a project made in conjunction with NASA. According to Variety, William Shatner, Chris Pine, James Earl Jones and Hayden Christensen will topline the voice cast of the $10 million film that is being financed by Taiwanese toonshop Digimax. Samuel L. Jackson, Amanda Peet, Jason Alexander, Sandra Oh, Mark Hamill, Abigail Breslin and Spencer Breslin round out the voice cast....
