It has been almost two decades since Love Actually hit cinemas, and star Thomas Brodie-Sangster has seen his career grow from his appearance as young Sam in the holiday classic. After being known as “The Love Actually kid” for many years, Brodie-Sangster returned to his role in 2017 for a Red Nose Day special, which reunited many of the original cast members for a special “sequel” to the film and caught up with some of the much-loved characters....

Sci Fi Channel reports that Lucy Lawless joins the cast of its original series Battlestar Galactica in the upcoming third season. Lawless will become a recurring cast member, reprising her role as D’Anna Biers in a 10-episode arc. The third season begins production in Vancouver, Canada, in April. Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess) first appeared on Galactica in the second-season episode “Final Cut,” playing investigative journalist Biers, who arrived on the Galactica to do an expose on alleged crew misconduct that resulted in the death of four civilians....

Marc Forster will direct the 22nd James Bond adventure, it was announced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, producers of the James Bond films, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios. Forster is the acclaimed director of the highly anticipated motion picture The Kite Runner, adapted from Khaled Hosseini’s best-selling novel. He also recently directed the comic hit Stranger Than Fiction for Sony Pictures. Previously, Forster directed the award-winning and critically acclaimed films Finding Neverland, which was nominated for seven Academy Awards including Best Picture, and Monster’s Ball, for which Halle Berry won a Best Actress Oscar....

ProElite, Inc., an entertainment and media company dedicated to producing world-class mixed martial arts (MMA) events, announced it has partnered with top television producer Mark Burnett to develop exclusive, multi-program MMA content for network TV. The currently untitled initial series centers on former football and baseball stars, Herschel Walker and Jose Canseco, respectively, who together with a group of other former pros, train as a team to cross over into the sport of mixed martial arts....

MTV caught up with Martin Lawrence who said that Bad Boys 3 is definitely happening, despite nearly seven years since Bad Boys II and 15 years since the first Bad Boys, which co-starred Will Smith and Martin Lawrence and was directed by a relatively unknown Michael Bay. Peter Craig is putting together a script for Columbia. “It’s real realistic,” the comedian revealed to MTV News recently, addressing rumors that he’ll re-team with Bay and the former Fresh Prince once again....

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. debuts in just under two weeks with the Pilot episode airing Tuesday, September 24 at 8 PM ET on ABC. While we wait for this series premiere to arrive, the synopsis has been released for the show’s second episode, entitled “0-8-4”, airing Tuesday, October 1. Take a look at the brief story description. We don’t know who exactly this Comandante is, who she works for, and what her relationship to Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) is quite yet....

Kevin Feige, president of Disney’s Marvel Studios unit, dropped massive news all through the 4 hour Disney investor day presentation. Tucked in among the big titles and franchise series spin-offs was a gem of a first look at the studio’s first animated series Marvel’s What If…?, set to debut summer 2021 on Disney+. What If…? takes another look at famous events from the Marvel event movies and reimagines them in new, different and unexpected ways....

Nine-time Grammy winner and two-time Academy Award nominee Mary J. Blige (Mudbound) is set to join the cast of the Netflix original series The Umbrella Academy. She joins a cast of series regulars that already includes Ellen Page as “Vanya”, Tom Hopper as “Luther,” Emmy Raver-Lampman as “Allison,” David Castañeda as “Diego,” Robert Sheehan as “Klaus,” and Aidan Gallagher as “Number Five.” There is no indication yet as to how many more characters still need to be cast at this time....

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a goldmine of content. Whether it’s the original Iron Man or the all-new addition Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU is known for bringing a plethora of action to the screen while also maintaining a good sense of humor. For example: WandaVision left fans both confused and eagerly interested as the plot of the series did not become clear until partway throug. When the truth of Wanda’s actions was revealed, the MCU still found a way to approach the sad story with a light heart....

While it is unclear whether Mike Myers would ever do a fourth Austin Powers movie, he is bringing his iconic villain Dr. Evil back for a new GM advert that will be making its debut during the Super Bowl this weekend. Along with some other familiar faces from the Austin Powers movie series, Myers will be lifting his pinkie once more as the bad guy who for many years believed the most tremendous ransom in the world was $1 million....

Studio Ghibli continues to get more and more comfortable on the stage! This time, My Neighbor Totoro will be stepping out of the forest and in front of audiences. The production will be produced in partnership with The Royal Shakespeare Company and Studio Ghibli. My Neighbor Totoro is a story about two sisters, Mei and Satsuki, who move out into the countryside with their father. The house is a bit run down, and seemingly haunted, but was chosen by their father because it’s closer to the hospital where their mother is staying....

Universal Pictures have unveiled the first one-sheet for their upcoming slugfest, Slither, starring Nathan Fillion, Gregg Henry, Michael Rooker and Elizabeth Banks. The sleepy town of Wheelsy could be any small town in America-somewhat quaint and gentle, peopled with friendly folks who mind their own business. But just beneath the surface charm, something unnamed and evil has arrived…and is growing. No one seems to notice as telephone poles become clogged with missing pet flyers, or when one of the town’s richest citizens, Grant Grant (Michael Rooker), begins to act strangely....

Filming is underway on Ninja Assassin, being directed by James McTeigue (V for Vendetta) from a screenplay by Matthew Sand and J. Michael Straczynski. Joel Silver, Grant Hill, Larry Wachowski and Andy Wachowski are producing, with Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and William Fay serving as executive producers. Ninja Assassin stars Korean pop star Rain (Speed Racer) as the central character, Raizo; Naomie Harris ( Pirates of the Caribbean: At World s End ) as Europol researcher Mika Coretti; Ben Miles (V for Vendetta) as Europol Agent Ryan Maslow; legendary martial arts performer Sho Kosugi (“Revenge of the Ninja”) as the ruthless leader of the Ozunu Clan; and Rick Yune (Die Another Day) as Raizo’s rival, Takeshi....

According to new reports Gael Garcia Bernal, most recently seen in M Night Shyamalan’s Old, has joined the cast of Marvel’s Halloween Special as Werewolf by Night. The character has long been rumored to be heading to the MCU in some capacity, but as yet we don’t know which version will be seen on screen. While the smart lycanthrope has gone under the name of Jack Russell, who was originally created by Gerry Conway and Mike Ploog, he was later a new character called Jake Gomez, a Hopi Native American who inherited the curse as part of his family lineage....

As we already know, Paramount+ houses some of the most successful and best movies you can watch now. The obvious draw in the newly emerged streaming service is its ability to incorporate films that viewers can’t seem to find on other streaming networks, thanks to the rich archives of Paramount Pictures dating back a century ago. For fellow horror fanatics, the fact that the company tends to stream a wide variety of projects, going back to the ’50s and earlier, is an apparent pro in paying for the monthly subscription....

Universal Pictures will produce the drama Memphis from writer-director Paul Greengrass, with production scheduled to start in June. We first reported on this project last month, when it was believed that Focus Features was in negotiations to distribute. Memphis will center on the events leading up to the 1968 assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Memphis, Tennessee. Paul Greengrass wrote the script based off his own research. Scott Rudin, who produced two of this year’s Oscar nominees for Best Picture (True Grit and The Fighter), is attached to produce....

Paramount Home Entertainment wants you to smell the Perfume in July. In a story from DavisDVD, the studio has picked July 24 to release Tom Tykwer’s Perfume - The Story of a Murderer. Synopsis: Based on the best-selling novel by Patrick Suskind, Perfume - The Story of a Murderer is a story of a deadly obsession set in 18th-century France. Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, orphaned as a newborn in the streets of Paris, is alone in the world....

It takes more than a writer’s strike to kill a project like the proposed Shazam! movie. Director Peter Segal told SCI FI Wire that the film has been delayed due to the WGA strike, but that it is still being actively developed. “I think it’ll still happen,” Segal said “Though timing is going to be a key issue now, because, whereas before, normally we’d be working on a script while we’re in post-production [on Get Smart], so that hopefully when we’re done with post-production, we’re ready to go into preproduction [on the next project]....

Heat Vision reports that Phil Alden Robinson (Field of Dreams) is going to write J.J. Abrams’ untitled heist project that is set up at Paramount. The script is based on a Wired magazine article titled “The Untold Story of the World’s Biggest Diamond Heist,” by Joshua Davis. The article (Paramount acquired the rights in March 2009) described the true story of a diamond heist in Antwerp, Belgium. It was in early 2003 that a small group of Italian thieves circumvented 10 layers of security to access a vault beneath the Antwerp Diamond Center....
