Adi Shankar, the producer behind Netflix’s Castlevania, is set to bring another popular video game franchise to the small screen. The filmmaker has been tapped by Krafton Inc for a new PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) animated project. While details are slim right now, the project has been billed as a series, not a movie. Universal Pictures has decided to push the release date for Wanted back to June 27 from it’s original release date, according to Variety. The film will open the weekend before Independence Day, and will be going head-to-head with Valkyrie, and Pixar’s robotic feature WALL-E. Wanted is the first English-language film by Russian screen-writer Timur Bekmambetov, and stars James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman, and Common. It revolves around an apathetic 25-year-old (McAvoy) who discovers that his murdered father was a member of the Fraternity, a society of assassins with special powers....

Things have changed in the MCU as it heads deep into Phase 4, with darker times seeming to be heading for the Marvel superheroes in the form of several supernatural and horror-based characters who are set to debut on the big screen and Disney+. Between his appearances on TNG, the show’s follow-up movies, and his run on Deep Space Nine, Dorn has played his character more than any other actor in Star Trek history. He’s voiced Worf on Family Guy, but in live-action, Dorn hasn’t played the role since Star Trek: Nemesis in 2002....

A cast-iron box office hit this month is Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris, a British comedy-drama that wowed audiences on its premiere in Paris in July and has been garnering positive reviews across the board. The movie is the third adaptation of Paul Gallico’s 1958 novel Mrs. ‘Arris Goes to Paris. The previous version was released in 1992 and starred Angela Lansbury and Game of Thrones star Diana Rigg. Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris (2022) was filmed in Budapest, London, and Paris at the end of 2020 and stars Lesley Manville in the lead role....
