With Moon Knight having wrapped its story last week, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness blowing up the box office around the world, attention is already turning to the next MCU story, which comes in the introduction of another new young superhero, Kamala Kahn....

George Clooney and Rachel Weisz (2006 Golden Globe recipients for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress in a Motion Picture Supporting Role), Sarah Jessica Parker and John Stamos have been set as presenters at The 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards to be telecast live on NBC Monday, January 15 (8 - 11:00 p.m. EST) at The Beverly Hilton. Ahead of its release on the streaming service in 2020, Netflix has unveiled our first look at Christian Serratos as real-life late singer Selena Quintanilla in Selena: The Series. Netflix has unveiled our first look at the upcoming horror anthology series Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities. Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the new trailer for Spike Jonze’s adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are, based on the classic book by Maurice Sendak. The fantasy adventure opens in theaters on October 16 and features the voices of Catherine Keener, Max Records, Mark Ruffalo, Lauren Ambrose, James Gandolfini, Catherine O’Hara and Forest Whitaker. The film follows the adventure of Max (Max Records), a mischievous young boy who is sent to his room after rebelling against his mother (Catherine Keener)....

Amid the immense success of his HBO series The Last of Us, actor Pedro Pascal will be hosting Saturday Night Live. It was announced on Thursday by NBC that Pascal is set to host the Feb. 4 episode of the sketch comedy series where he’ll be joined by musical guest Coldplay. This will officially mark Pascal’s hosting debut for the show, perhaps the first of many if all goes well. Meanwhile, this also marks Coldplay’s seventh stint on the show as musical guest....

The casting update of Toby Stephens as Poseidon in the series Percy Jackson and the Olympians has officially shattered the fans’ expectation of having Logan Lerman play the role, the original Percy Jackson in the film installation in 2010 — despite the significant age gap between the 31-year-old actor and the supposedly middle-aged character. While Lerman expressively revealed that no one’s “hit him up” about the show, the release date is still about a year away....

HBO has released the first look at Matthew Rhys in the upcoming Perry Mason limited drama series. Rhys looks very much like he stepped back in time to 1931 Los Angeles in the image. The series is based on the detective novels by Erle Stanley Gardner, which feature Mason as a criminal defense lawyer. Excitement about the show has been strong ever since HBO first announced that it was in development, which was nearly four years ago....

IMAX Corporation and Twentieth Century Fox today announced that Prometheus, the summer’s scariest action event picture and director Ridley Scott’s return to the genre he helped define, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX 3D format and released in IMAX digital and film theatres domestically and in a select number of IMAX theatres internationally, starting June 8, 2012. Sir Ridley directs and produces the film, which is written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof....

Lucifer season 6 is all but assured as Tom Ellis has closed a deal for a continuation of the series on Netflix. The show moved from Fox to Netflix after its third season, with the streaming service debuting season 4. That went well enough to pave the way for season 5, which hasn’t even debuted yet. Be that as it may, it seems Ellis, and presumably the rest of the cast, are poised to return for at least one more round of episodes....

Fans of the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender can rejoice once they hear what M. Night Shyamalan (The Happening, The Sixth Sense) plans to do with his live-action film adaptation of the series. Shyamalan spoke to Empire Online about how he sees Avatar: The Last Airbender. Shyamalan described the plot of the series as follows: The actual plot is in a place where there are four tribes of people. And these people each have people within their tribe that have mastery over one element: water, earth, fire or air....

Marvel Studios is yet to officially add Blade to its upcoming slate of movies, but according to new information made available online the vampire hunter’s first MCU outing will start filming on July 4. The details of the shoot come from the FTIA Production List website, which states that Blade will commence filming in Atlanta, Georgia and New Orleans, Louisiana, from Independence Day. The page also includes a project summary, which gives the movie’s synopsis as “He is known to be a vampire hunter— half-mortal, half-immortal— who tries to rid the world of vampires as a way of avenging his mother, who was killed by a vampire as she gave birth to him....

Back in November, two teaser posters debuted for Men in Black III, which arrives in theaters May 25. Those one-sheets also featured a viral website at TheMenInBlackSuitsAreReal.com, which is “operated” by a high school kid dubbed “BugEyes126.” The site was recently updated with his sketch of a particle accelerator, along with a brief note. Take a look at the photo and note below. We’re not quite sure what this means as far as the Men in Black III story line is concerned, but we’ll keep you posted on the latest updates from this viral site....
