Production has begun on Nemesis, an original drama series set in the world of international espionage starring Melissa George (30 Days of Night; HBOʼs In Treatment) and written and created by Frank Spotnitz (The X-Files, Cinemaxʼs Strike Back). The eight episodes will shoot in Scotland, London and Morocco and air on Cinemax in 2012. Also starring Adam Rayner (Hawthorne), the series is produced by Kudos Film & Television (Life on Mars) for BBC One and HBO/Cinemax in association with Big Light Productions....

Courtesy of Entertainment Weekly (EW), it has been discovered that Skybound is publishing a five-issue comic book anthology based on the Creepshow franchise. Creepshow and the world of comics have long since gone hand in hand. The film that launched the whole franchise, directed by George A. Romero and written by Stephen King (who stars in one of the segments), was inspired by the gruesome EC horror comics of the 1950s....

Marvel Studios has released the first official logo for their highly-anticipated Inhumans TV series, which will have a unique new debut, arriving first in IMAX theaters. IMAX Corp, Marvel Television and Disney|ABC Television Group announced an innovative agreement to exclusively premiere the new ABC series “Marvel’s The Inhumans” in IMAX commercial theatres, marking the first time a live-action television series has debuted in this manner. Under the agreement, a version of the first two episodes of Marvel Television’s new series The Inhumans, produced in conjunction with ABC Studios and filmed entirely with IMAX digital cameras, will run worldwide exclusively in IMAX for two weeks at the beginning of September 2017....

Another day, another Marvel rumor. But, based on everything that’s been announced recently, this one has a very good chance of coming true. The Punisher is coming back, and Jon Bernthal is set to reprise the role, with the new project set to be announced at D23. While The Office explained that they’re filming a documentary about the paper business, it was never outwardly expressed as to why the Parks and Rec crew were being filmed, and it added to the humor of it all. Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios will celebrate this summer’s most original animated-comedy, Ratatouille, by bringing a mouthwatering experience to cities across the country with “The Big Cheese Tour” it was announced by Jim Gallagher, President of Buena Vista Pictures Marketing. The tour will kick off today, May 11, 2007, at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL and continue to cross the country stopping at many events and major food festivals throughout the summer....

There were a few raised eyebrows when it was leaked that the new Netflix movie Red Notice, which arrived on the platform on Friday and stars the A-List trio of Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds, cost upwards of $200 million to make, with around $60 million of that going straight to its three star names. However it looks like the price tag has been somewhat justified as the most expensive movie Netflix has ever produced has also gone on to become the biggest first day movie in the streamer’s history....

Later tonight, AMC’s hit spinoff Fear the Walking Dead returns to kick off the back half of their second season, which will lead into the Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead on Sunday, October 21. Last week, we showed you the first clip from the new season, which teased that the beloved Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) may have been killed off, since the nefarious Dwight (Austin Amelio) was seen riding Daryl’s motorcycle and wearing his iconic angel wings vest, which Daryl is rarely seen without....

With the premiere for Riverdale just a few months away, The CW has unveiled a new trailer, which gives us a brief introduction to the characters that inhabit this town. For those familiar with the Archie Comics, this TV series adaptation takes things to a new level. The story kicks off with a new school year, with the Riverdale community reeling from the recent, tragic death of high school golden boy Jason Blossom....

Production begins this week in New Orleans on the horror comedy Hell Baby, which marks co-screenwriters Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant’s feature film co-directorial debut. Darko Entertainment is financing the film, which is produced by Darko Entertainment’s Sean McKittrick, Jeff Culotta and Ted Hamm; Principato-Young’s Peter Principato and Paul Young; and Garant/Lennon Productions. The film is an original script from the multi-hyphenates Lennon and Garant, who have written nine feature films together including Night at the Museum, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, and Reno 911!...

With fans in an uproar over the release on the original Star Wars movies not being remastered, Luscasfilm felt it was time to start answering some questions. In a story from Video Business, it seems the company doesn’t feel any need “to invest resources into sprucing up films that have already been restored to pristine form.” They are obviously referring to the “supped up” versions of the Trilogy that came out theatrically in the late 1990s and are now available on DVD....

The Good A very fan friendly release that highlights what a special film Phantasm is. The Bad I just wish there was more “Behind The Scenes” stuff because everything about this DVD is so good.
