Not only do they pump out content like a factory, but they also cover a variety of genres so that there is something for every subscriber. Production has begun in New York City on Burn After Reading for Focus Features and Working Title Films. Academy Award winners Joel and Ethan Coen are writing, producing, and directing the film, which will also shoot in Washington, D.C. Working Title co-chairs Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are executive-producing the film with Robert Graf, who has worked on the Coens’ last five features in various producing capacities. The dark spy-comedy stars Academy Award winners George Clooney and Frances McDormand, and Academy Award nominees Brad Pitt and John Malkovich....

Robert Carlyle is talking the lead in Sci Fi Channel’s new series Stargate Universe, which is the third installment in the cable channel’s Stargate franchise. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis co-creators Brad Wright and Robert Cooper who will write and executive produce the new series. Sci Fi Channel is expected to give the MGM TV-produced “SGU” a 20-episode order. Production on the series is slated to begin in February in Vancouver....

Loki’s penultimate episode, “Journey Into Mystery”, begins in the Time-Keepers chamber at the TVA. The camera swoops down on an android’s decapitated head. Then switches to an overhead shot of a crumbling city in ruins. Loki (Tom Hiddleston) stands up in a grassy field, “What is this? Where are we?” He’s surrounded by Kid (Jack Veal), Boastful (Deobia Oparei), Alligator, and Classic Loki (Richard E. Grant), who warns “they have to get going....

There are currently not many signs that Lucasfilm is in a hurry to put of any more Star Wars movies. Following the sequel trilogy that ended with The Rise of Skywalker in 2019, the only movie on the horizon is the Patty Jenkins directed Rogue Squadron film which is currently down to arrive in 2023 but has recently had its own set of problems that could yet see it delayed or scrapped entirely....

Two of the creative forces behind CBS’ successful Hawaii Five-0 reboot are joining forces for another reboot of a CBS classic series. Writers Peter Lenkov and Eric Guggenheim are writing the pilot script for a new updated version of the iconic 1980s series Magnum P.I. for CBS, with the network handing out a “sizable pilot-production commitment” for this potential new series. While there is certainly no guarantee that this show will make it to series, TV reboots are becoming more popular than ever, so it wouldn’t be surprising to find this show on CBS’ lineup next fall....

Eternals has now had two weeks at the top of the box office chart, which speaks for itself, but has also had the less prestigious honor of becoming the first “Rotten” Marvel Cinematic Universe entry since the epic interconnected piece of storytelling began back in 2008. At the time of writing less than 50% of the 337 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes gave a positive spin on the mega-casted latest addition to the Marvel family, and while Marvel Studios don’t usually make comment on the opinions of their critics, Marvel Studios executive Victoria Alonso made reference to the hefty volume of negative reviews while appearing at the Outfest Legacy Awards....

Michael Shannon is set to wow a whole new generation as Zod in Superman: Man of Steel, a role originated by legendary actor Terence Stamp in the 1981 sequel Superman II. Mindhunter season 3 is closer than ever to becoming a reality. Created by Joe Penhall and executive produced by David Fincher, the popular crime drama series debuted with its first season on Netflix in 2017. The series found even greater fame when its second season premiered in 2019, and there are a lot of people hoping to see the show come back to the streamer for more new episodes. In January 2020, things were looking bad for the show after Netflix released series’ leads Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, and Anna Torv from their contracts....

According to Variety, it looks like Granada America has put together a deal that will reuse episodes of NBC’s upcoming series I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! on MTV. Current contestants on the show are The Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt among others. NBC was going to unveil the entire cast for the show at a press conference on Friday. The show is set to air in Costa Rica....
