Academy Award winning actress Marlee Matlin will sign the National Anthem in American Sign Language along side Grammy Award winning singer Billy Joel at the Super Bowl XLI Pregame Show on CBS at Dolphin Stadium in South Florida on Sunday, February 4, the NFL announced today. This is Matlin’s second time performing the National Anthem in Sign Language at the Super Bowl; she was featured in the Super Bowl XXVII pregame show in Pasadena in 1993, with Grammy Award winning singer Garth Brooks....

Jennette McCurdy won’t be back for the iCarly revival on Paramount+, but Miranda Cosgrove says her character’s absence won’t be ignored. In the original Nickelodeon series, which aired for six seasons from 2007 to 2012, McCurdy played Carly’s best friend and web show co-star Sam Puckett. The former child star has since retired from acting and has made it clear she isn’t interested in revisiting iCarly. Fans of The Smurfs will be pleased to know that Paramount and Nickelodeon are ready to bring the little blue characters back in a big with, with multiple projects in development, including a musical movie. For a group of little blue humanoids living in a tiny village, who began life as comic book characters created by Belgian artist Peyo, the pseudonym of Pierre Culliford, The Smurfs have become a cultural phenomenon thanks mainly to the cartoon series of the 1980s, which can currently be found on various platforms, and after two recent big-screen outings and a new CGI animated series last year, it looks like there is a lot more Smurfiness to come....

Keith Raniere, the leader of the cult-like group NXIVM, has been sentenced to 120 years in prison. U.S. District Judge Nicholas Garaufis revealed the sentence in Brooklyn federal court recently. The sentence comes more than a year after Raniere was convicted of federal sex trafficking, racketeering and possession of child pornography. Raniere will now spend the rest of his life behind bars. Fifteen of the victims who were impacted by Keith Raniere’s crimes either spoke or had statements read in court....

It’s been more than three years since the final season of Orange is the New Black. Based on a memoir written by Piper Kerman, the plot of the Netflix original series focuses on women from different social and racial backgrounds as they carry out their sentences in a minimum-security federal prison. The Good The kind of movie that holds up over time. Works very well on this PSP Unit. The Bad One would think they would have at least included a few bonus features… Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse Of the Black Pearl played just as well for me in the UMD format as it did when I first screened it in the theater almost three years ago. This largely scaled tale of Captain Jack Sparrow and Will Turner is the kind of movie experience that children love, and reminds adults why they go to the movies in the first place....

The Good Many years later, all these films still hold up very well. The Bad No Special Features on anything but the first movie. Porky’s the Ultimate Collection gives us all three films in the Porky’s lexicon in one set. That should be reason alone for people to buy it. Producers David Friendly, Mark Clayman and Michael Menchel have teamed up to develop a film based on Picking Cotton, the memoir by rape victim Jennifer Thompson-Cannino and the man she mistakenly identified, Ronald Cotton, according to Variety. Todd Komarnicki will write the adaptation. Thompson-Cannino was raped as a college student in 1984 and later identified the 22-year-old Cotton as her attacker, leading to a jury conviction and sentence of life in prison....
