Turner Classic Movies (TCM) is taking a walk on the wild side as it welcomes auteurfilmmaker and legendary rocker Rob Zombie as the host of the network’s newest weekly movie showcase, TCM Underground. NBC’s Midnight, Texas, the #1 summer broadcast drama in the 18-49 demo, has been renewed for a second season. Chris and Paul Weitz have set up a pair of comedy projects at NBC as part of their overall deal with NBC Universal Television Studio, according to Variety. The duo are teaming with another sibling pair, Mark and Jay Duplass (The Puffy Chair), for a single-camera comedy The Trail. The Weitz brothers also are aboard the single-camera comedy Terrible Life, from writers Mike Carnes and Josh Gilbert. The Trail revolves around a group of friends who, after becoming disgusted with their lives, decide to ditch it all and hike the Appalachian Trail....

Netflix released the official trailer for its new summer series Gypsy, a ten part psychological thriller debuting June 30th worldwide. The series stars Naomi Watts, in her first TV starring role in 20 years, since the short-lived NBC series Sleepwalkers, which only ran for nine episodes in 1997. The actress was also the star of the Mullholland Drive TV pilot in 1999, before it was crafted into the 2001 movie of the same name from director David Lynch, which became her breakout role and landed her first Oscar nomination....
