Hosted by Wilmer Valderrama, Yo Momma will return to showcase the trash-talking talents of an all new city: New York. Exploring every borough, neighborhood, and street corner, Wilmer and his sidekicks will canvas the Big Apple in search of New York’s funniest amateur trash-talker....

The Good A nice twist on the now banal superhero movie. The Bad I wish Fox would have sent me a DVD with all the special features and appropriate packaging. Matt Saunders (Luke Wilson) has got some major woman problems in My Super Ex-Girlfriend. Smitten by the luminous Jenny Johnson (Uma Thurman), Matt thinks he’s met the lady of his dreams. The fact that she also happens to be a superhero might not sound like a problem, except for the fact that her insecurities make her overly possessive and she uses her strength to keep Matt under her thumb....

Netflix has released a brand new trailer for Narcos: Mexico, which takes the action in a whole new direction. The streaming service has had a lot of luck with their drug drama, which is based on real events, over the past few seasons. But this truly looks like it might be enough to bring in a ton of new viewers who didn’t jump on over the last few years. Not to over-exaggerate, but this Narcos: Mexico trailer kind of has everything....

Netflix has officially suspended its services in Russia as part of the protests against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine that began this February. Along with this pull-out, the streaming service will also put all projects and acquisitions it had lined up in Russia. The suspension of Netflix’s service in Russia is the latest amidst several sanctions and the shutdown of several business operations in the country as its forces continue to invade and capture Ukrainian territories....

A new Godzilla movie is in the works from Toho Studios, with the studio taking to social media to announce the mysterious project. While details remain under wraps at present, it is revealed that the new Godzilla outing will be helmed by director Takashi Yamazaki, who is best known for Always: Sunset on Third Street and the more recent offerings Stand by Me Doraemon 2 and Dragon Quest: Your Story. Marvel has released the first teaser trailer for their new Spider-Man animated series, although we may have to wait a bit longer to see this web slinger in action. This announcement video doesn’t feature any actual footage of the new Spidey, although it does confirm that the animated series will be debuting on Disney XD sometime this summer. The cable network has not announced a premiere date yet, but that announcement may be coming soon now that we have this sneak peek....

Don’t let the “Candy Cane” title of this new trailer for The Strain fool you into thinking it’s a sweet and sugary look at this highly-anticipated FX series from Guillermo del Toro. While the title is appropriate, it isn’t the normal kind of candy cane you may be thinking of, with this footage showing a mysterious man tapping the ground with his cane, while leaving handfuls of candy behind. Who (or what) is this mystery man leaving the candy for?...

Oliver Stone is gearing up to make a ten-part documentary for Showtime titled The Secret History of America. According to Variety, Stone will also narrate this compelling new real-life drama for the pay channel. Each episode will focus on American events that went unreported at the time, but crucially shaped our country’s rich and complex history over the last sixty years. Subjects are to include President Harry Truman’s decision to drop the atomic bomb on Japan, the origins of the Cold War with the Soviet Union, to “the fierce struggle between war and peace in America’s national security complex....

The Paranormal Activity movies are some of those that you either love or hate. A lot of that can be chalked up to the found-footage format. Either you love the raw, genuine feeling of a shaky camera, or it gives you major motion sickness. But whether you love or hate them, the Paranormal Activity franchise has been widely successful since the original movie’s premiere in 2007. The movie helped launch the massive Blumhouse Productions, which is the force behind some of the best horror movies in recent years like Insidious, Get Out and Us....

During the Star Trek Universe panel that took place on Saturday, July 23, 2022, in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Sir Patrick Stewart, star of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Picard, said that he would be willing to return to the role of Jean-Luc Picard for another big-screen feature film starring the TNG cast. Although no such movie has currently been announced, Trekkies can look forward to seeing the legendary actor reprise his role as Picard at least one more time in the upcoming third season of Picard on Paramount+, alongside his fellow TNG co-stars....

The Good A great show continues to find its way to DVD. The Bad Only half a season and not a hint of extras. One again Paramount Home Entertainment sees fit to bring us Perry Mason: Season 2, Vol. 2. While this is only half a season, I think that fans of this show will be more than happy to have more cases to watch. Sure Perry won all but one (I think) in his illustrious career, but for some reason I never find myself tiring of watching everything that Raymond Burr brought to this character....

Pierce Brosnan appears to have a magnificent suit as Doctor Fate in the upcoming DCEU entry, Black Adam. Through several trailers, his character sports a comic-accurate costume, lending to the ever-growing hype leading up to the film’s release. But, of course, Doctor Fate’s suit is incredibly important, as it is the source of the character’s power. Brosnan recently sat down as a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, discussing his character and what it was like wearing his helmet....

Seven years after it went off the air, Fox’s Prison Break returned to San Diego Comic-Con yesterday with a new panel featuring the cast and producers. While we still don’t know exactly when the show will premiere yet, the panelists unveiled the new trailer for this event series, teasing that, despite the events of the TV movie Prison Break: The Final Break, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) is actually alive, and locked up once again....

iO9 reports that The Crow reboot is happening, even if it has yet to garner a greenlight. The film will be written and directed by Stephen Norrington. They recently sat down with the project’s producer Ryan Kavanaugh. In regards to the current script he stated: Kavanaugh also talked about the makeup that will be worn by this film’s title character: The script is great. We’re very excited about it. The Crow is definitely going to happen, we’re just getting all the pieces together right now....

Ray Romano will play late basketball coach and commentator Jim “Jimmy V” Valvano in an upcoming unnamed biopic, Deadline confirmed Monday. The biopic will show Valvano’s life, from his coaching days with the North Carolina State Wolfpack to the terminal cancer diagnosis that led to his untimely passing at just 47 on April 28, 1993. Valvano became admired for his off-court persona, a man whose hope and optimistic spirit never wavered....

Millennium Media’s big screen adaptation of Red Sonja seems to have found its new lead in Matilda Lutz, who has been tapped for the title role, with other cast additions including Wallis Day and Robert Sheehan. The film has now finally kicked off production in Bulgaria under the direction of Solomon Kane helmer M.J. Bassett after years in development hell. Red Sonja is inspired by the Dynamite Entertainment comic books and has been the dream project of Bassett for some time....

Movie Picture Okay, everybody remain calm. This is a Brian Yuzna movie, and that means one of two things. It will be either amazing, or it will be godawful. There are no mediocre Brian Yuzna movies that I know of, yet, so brace yourself. And what Yuzna sets out for us this time looks fairly familiar. The village of Marienbad in northern Spain has had a whole lot of unpleasant stuff going on in it (if you’re thinking Dagon at this point you’re in good company–I sure did, and it scared me half to death)....
