The Netflix Original Series Hemlock Grove, from Gaumont International Television, a riveting and eerie mystery from executive producer Eli Roth and based on Brian McGreevy’s novel of the same name, has been picked up for a third and final season. Showrunner Charles H. (Chic) Eglee will return for the ten-episode final season which is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2015. Here’s what executive producer Eli Roth had to say in a statement about the renewal....

A new trailer and key art have been released for Murderville, a six-episode procedural crime comedy series coming to Netflix in February. The series stars Will Arnett as Detective Terry Seattle with each episode introducing a new celebrity guest to play his partner. The problem? None of the guest actors have been given a script and they must improvise their way through the murder mysteries. You can watch the trailer below....

The Batgirl movie has been getting a lot of attention recently, with reveals about Michal Keaton’s inclusion in the film, behind the scenes looks at some of the backgrounds used in the movie hinting at Keaton’s Batman having had a Robin sidekick at some point, and the reveal of Leslie Grace’s full costume. The latest set images to come from the movie have now seemed to give the first look at Ivory Aquino who is said to be playing Alysia Yeoh; the first DCEU trans character....

Barry Allen may be hanging out in the Speed Force right now, but he isn’t going to stay there forever. At the end of The Flash season 3 many thought that Wally West was going to inherit the mantle of the main speedster in town for the upcoming season, but that isn’t going to be the case. Not only is Grant Gustin going to be back as Barry Allen in The Flash season 4, but he is going to have a fancy new suit to rock while taking out some new bad guys....

Wubba lubba dub dub! At long last, Adult Swim has finally, after nearly two years, released a brand new episode of Rick and Morty. In what appeared to be a cruel April Fool’s Day joke, the network announced that they were streaming a brand new episode of Rick and Morty on their website and on the air in a loop. Indeed, it turned out to be genuine and the first episode of Rick and Morty season 3 is out in the world....

With hardly any competition, last week’s winner was not kicked off the island in the home video charts. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nim’s Island stayed put atop the DVD sales and rental charts, for the week ending August 17. There were no major theatrical releases on DVD this past week, which made it easier for Nim’s Island to stay on top, but it also paved the way for many TV DVD sets to enter the top 10 in sales....

During its seven-season run, Once Upon a Time featured approximately six different curses. Each curse required special ingredients and a sacrifice of the enactor. That said, each curse begins the same: someone wanted their happy ending the easy way. One thing many of the curses have in common is that each person who enacted a curse either interacted with or was an apprentice of Rumpelstiltskin. In an attempt to reunite with his son Baelfire, Rumpelstiltskin searched for a way to find his son....

Earlier this week, actor Alfonso Ribeiro posted a now-legendary photo on Instagram that showcased a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion. The actor was joined by Will Smith (Will), Tatyana Ali (Ashley Banks), Karyn Parsons (Hilary Banks), Daphne Reid (Vivian Banks) and Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey Butler), with Alfonso Ribeiro mentioning how he wished the late James Avery was there, since he passed away in 2013. There was another cast member who wasn’t there, though, Janet Hubert, the actress who played the original Aunt Viv in the first three seasons, before she left the show in 1993....

Another generation of the Dutton family is making their way to Paramount+ this December. 1923, the anticipated Yellowstone prequel starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, will premiere on Sunday, December 18, in the U.S. and Canada and on Monday, December 19, in the UK and Australia. One of the most beloved yet underrated series on network TV is coming to a close in 2015, as Parks and Recreation debuts its Season 7 trailer. This first footage offers a sneak peak at the heartbreaking finale season, which brings things back to the future. We also get to see the return of Johnny Karate and the arrival of drones. Parks and Recreation Season 7 will pick-up where Season 6 left off, answering all of the cliffhanger questions that were posed when the comedy series left us all hanging in the year 2017....

Three-time Oscar-winning director Alfonso Cuarón, Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu, and Guillermo del Toro came together at the “Three Amigos” event held by Netflix at the Academy Museum. Moderated by Cuarón, del Toro talked about his new Netflix adaptation of Pinocchio. Talking about the Pinocchio movie, del Toro said that it would take a “few years” for people in Hollywood to accept that animation is cinema. When asked about the animation debate that has been going on in Hollywood recently, he said, “It’s a battle I’ll keep fighting....

Back to school time means back to school movies, and this one is just in line. Baxter University’s theatre department goes a little too far in the comraderie department, and during an initiation, ends up badly wounding one of its initiates. In true Baxter University Theatre Department style, they run like crazed weasels into the night and leave said initiate to die. Thus, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone that, the next night, the theatre department undergoes radical downsizing with lots of extra blood....

The Riverdale musical episode has been a common occurrence since season two. While Riverdale has featured numerous musical moments that were not included in musical episodes, the show has been known for devoting an episode to a musical and taking the songs from the story, using them to fit the episode’s storyline. At first, Riverdale’s use of a musical, taking inspiration from Carrie, allowed the series to dive into the darkness portrayed in the play while using its tone to further develop the danger surrounding the Black Hood....

Sad news has come in as Lisa Loring of The Addams Family fame has died. The news of her death was first announced her friend, Laurie Jacobson, who said that Loring had died on Saturday four days after suffering a massive stroke that left her on life support. Loring’s death has since been confirmed by her daughter, Vanessa Foumberg, who told Variety that her mother “went peacefully with both her daughters holding her hands....

FX has set April 9th as the series premiere of the new comedy series The Comedians starring Billy Crystal and Josh Gad and the fifth season of the Emmy Award winning comedy series Louie. The Comedians will air at 10:00 PM ET/PT, followed by Louie at 10:30 PM ET/PT. The debut season of The Comedians will feature 13 episodes of the new series starring Billy Crystal and Josh Gad. In The Comedians, Billy Crystal plays a comedy legend who is reluctantly paired with Josh Gad, an edgier up-and-coming star, in an unfiltered, behind-the-scenes look at a fictional late night sketch comedy show where egos and generations collide....

The long-awaited Luther movie, Luther: The Fallen Sun, has received an R rating from the MPA. The surprisingly harsh rating teases the darkness and violence that will befall the detective, with an R rating coming as a result of “disturbing/violent content, language and some sexual material.” It certainly sounds like John Luther may regret coming back… Luther: The Fallen Sun is the epic continuation of the award-winning television saga, which first began in 2010 and ran for five intense seasons....

I recently had the chance to speak with writer-director Mitch Glazer about his feature directorial debut, Passion Play which will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on May 31. We also talked about the new TV series he created for Starz entitled Magic City, which we first reported on back in December. Actors Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Steven Strait have already been announced to star, but Mitch Glazer told us that Olga Kurylenko, Danny Huston, and Seymour Cassel have also joined the cast....
