Not only is Pamela Anderson refusing to ever watch the Hulu series Pam & Tommy, she wants an apology for its existence. Anderson has previously made it pretty clear that she’s no fan of Pam & Tommy, which focuses on the theft and subsequent release of intimate videos the Baywatch star had recorded with then-husband Tommy Lee. In a new chat with Variety, Anderson opens up a bit more on the situation, referring to the team behind the series as “assh*les” who had only poured “salt on the wound” by digging up painful memories for the sake of a TV show.
“You still owe me a public apology,” Anderson declares with a message for the Pam & Tommy filmmakers.

Try as she may to avoid the show entirely, Anderson did see what Lily James and Sebastian Stan look like with their respective roles in the show as Anderson and Lee. Anderson describes this as looking like a “Halloween costume,” and while she presumes her ex-husband may have found the show amusing, she hasn’t whatsoever, sticking with her vow to never watch the series.
“It was just shocking,” says the Barb Wire star. “Tommy probably thought it was funny. I remember Tommy writing me a note saying, ‘Don’t let this hurt you like it did the first time,’ because he had heard through the kids that I was kind of struggling with the idea of bringing this all up again. I don’t think he was portrayed kindly. I just know that I refuse to watch it.”
It’s Not Personal Against Lily James
James has told the story of writing Anderson a handwritten letter after getting cast, hoping to connect and speak about the role. It has since been revealed that Anderson also refuses to read that letter, associating it with the series she wishes didn’t exist. But it’s nothing personal against James, as Anderson says she’s willing to meet and speak with the fellow actress in a different context. In fact, Anderson even says James is welcome to come to the premiere of her own film, the Netflix documentary Pamela: a love story.
“I think it’s hard to play somebody when you don’t know the whole picture,” Anderson says, wanting James to know the full story “I said to Netflix, ‘I’d love to invite Lily to the premiere of the movie.’ I’ve got nothing against Lily James. I think that she’s a beautiful girl and she was just doing the job. But the idea of the whole thing happening was just really crushing for me.”
Pamela: a love story will premiere on Netflix on Jan. 31, 2023.
