Starz has dropped the official trailer for its Party Down revival. The anticipated third season of the cult comedy debuts next month, with much of its original cast returning. The revival takes place ten years after the original series’ conclusion. While most of the characters have said their goodbyes to their pink bowties, a surprise reunion puts the team of caterers back in the middle of hilarious situations. Check out the trailer below.

Party Down’s first two seasons were led by Adam Scott, who will reprise his role of Henry for the upcoming season. He is joined by original cast mates Ken Marino, Jane Lynch, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, and Megan Mullally. The third season of Party Down adds Jennifer Garner, Tyrel Jackson Williams, Zoë Chao, and James Marsden. The talented lineup also includes an impressive list of guest stars like Dan Bakkedahl, Quinta Brunson, Ki Hong Lee, Nick Offerman, Judy Reyes, and Calum Worthy, among others.

Catering Los Angeles’ Wackiest Functions

The original series revolved around a group of caterers in Los Angeles who found themselves in comedic situations as they worked at different events. Each episode featured the talented cast catering a different affair, ranging from an adult entertainment awards after-party to a funeral reception. The first two seasons also starred Lizzy Caplan as Henry’s on-and-off romantic partner. Unfortunately, Caplan is unable to return due to scheduling issues.

Although the original series, which ran from 2009 to 2010, gained the praise of critics, it was canceled following its second season. Unfortunately, viewership numbers did not reflect the critical reception. Fans of the series, however, have been waiting over 10 years for a Party Down reunion.

In a previous interview referencing a 2019 event, EP Thomas spoke of how the cast and crew were eager to collaborate:

“At the end of 2019, the Party Down cast and producers were all reunited at a retrospective for the show hosted by Vulture. We had such a good time that we wanted to find a way to get the team back together again. The cast is so busy these days that finding a window where we can do it may require trigonometry, but we’re determined to make it happen.”

And they did! Party Down will debut on Friday, Feb 24, at midnight, via the Starz app and streaming. The sitcom will also air on Starz that evening. The anticipated season will feature six episodes.
