The Netflix premiere date for the sixth season of the British crime drama series Peaky Blinders has been announced. All six episodes of the show will arrive on Netflix in the U.S. and the rest of the world on June 10, 2022, two months after the final episode airs on April 3.
Peaky Blinders season 6 premiered on BBC One last month on February 27, and like the previous seasons, it is a hit with both fans and critics. With season 6 currently sitting at a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Peaky Blinders continues to impress fans with its riveting storytelling and terrific performances. Set in the early 20th century, Peaky Blinders centers on a Birmingham crime gang and their quest to rise to the top. The show features an ensemble cast with Cillian Murphy in the lead as Thomas Shelby, alongside Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Tom Hardy, Sam Claflin, Joe Cole, Annabelle Wallis, Sam Neill, Finn Cole, Sophie Rundle, Paddy Considine, Adrien Brody, and Aidan Gillen.

Much of the core cast is returning in Peaky Blinders season 6, except for Helen McCrory, who passed away last year from breast cancer. Her tragic loss is addressed in the opening episode of season 6, which is also dedicated to her. While McCrory’s absence is certainly felt, Peaky Blinders still remains as exhilarating as it ever was, especially with the return of Tom Hardy’s fan-favorite character Alfie Solomons and the addition of Stephen Graham, who’ll make his first appearance in this week’s episode.
Peaky Blinders season 6 aires weekly on BBC One and BBC iplayer (in the U.K. only), with the next episode releasing on Sunday, March 13. Meanwhile, fans outside the U.K. awaiting the show’s release can stream five seasons of Peaky Blinders on Netflix.
Season 6 is Not the End of Peaky Blinders

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight initially planned to make seven seasons, but the delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a big-screen venture instead. Moreover, Peaky Blinders season 6 will cover a vast time period, picking up from season 5—which ended in 1929—and going into and beyond World War II. However, that still won’t be enough to conclude the saga of the Shelby crime family, and a feature film is planned to end the series.
In an interview with Digital Spy last month, Knight confirmed Cillian Murphy’s return and briefly talked about his plans for the film.
But it’ll be a while before the Peaky Blinders movie comes out. Production on the film is scheduled to commence in 2023, which would set it up for a 2024 debut.
“We’re going to make a film - a feature film - which will move the world on, and then once we’ve moved the world on into the Second World, we’ll see where that takes us. It’s now a situation where the world… you know, around the world, the Peaky world, it’s got so much energy, and so much following, and such a huge fanbase, that you think: ‘Well, let’s just carry on.’ So we do.”
