That’s a wrap on season 1 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Unrelated to the feature films and serving as a fresh reboot, the new Percy Jackson series is in development for the streaming platform Disney+. On Friday, creator Rick Riordan took to Instagram to announced that filming has been wrapped on the show’s first season. He also included an image of the ice sculpture that had been presented to the cast and crew to celebrate the occasion.

While there’s still a bit of a wait for fans to see these episodes, Riordan has also recently expressed his optimism that fans will respond well to the show. He took to his blog just days ago to tease that other gods will be introduced in future seasons, addressing the concerns fans had about certain characters that hadn’t been announced. That shows how Riordan is confident that the series will be spanning multiple seasons, though Disney+ hasn’t given the show a renewal as of this time.

“If you haven’t seen a particular god or demigod announced, that’s because they don’t appear in the season and won’t be cast until we start the subsequent seasons, which means any of those announcements are probably at least a year away,” Riordan wrote. “More later, demigods, but I am pleased to tell you we are in a very good place as we look ahead to a (not-yet-greenlit-but-fully-anticipated) season 2!”
