Pete Davidson is a member of the special forces unit, Task Force 141, in the new trailer for the upcoming video game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. In a similar vein to his role in The Suicide Squad, Davidson makes quirky remarks on the way to a perilous mission before Captain Price (Barry Sloane) decides it’s best to leave him in the car. The trailer for the game can be found below.

Davidson obviously plays the odd man out in the trailer, as hardened vets accompany him on the way to their drop point. Variations of the trailer were released on the official Call of Duty channel featuring NBA star Trae Young, popular streamer TimTheTatman, and DJ Steve Aoki, which can be found here.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

Developed by Infinity Ward, Modern Warfare 2 launches across all platforms on Oct. 28th and is rumored to focus on the Columbian drug cartels. The world premiere trailer will debut on June 8th, with another reveal scheduled the day after on June 9th.

Pete Davidson is Keeping Busy on Saturday Nights

     NBC

Although Davidson rose to fame in 2014 as a leading cast member on Saturday Night Live, the actor/comedian will be looking to keep his weekends busy following his exit from the show. He has quite the lineup of movies and television shows coming his way, so it looks like Davidson won’t be money hungry anytime soon. First, on Aug. 5th, Bodies Bodies Bodies, the horror/slasher/comedy releases in theaters nationwide. Not long after, Meet Cute, a romantic comedy with time travel elements starring Davidson and Kaley Cuoco, will hit the big screen.

Then, in a similar fashion to The King of Staten Island, Davidson will channel his personal life in a fictionalized version with Bupkis. The series, streaming on Peacock, will focus on the comedian’s life in the form of a half-hour live-action comedy, according to reports from Deadline. Davidson will also be writing and serving as executive producer on the show alongside SNL chief Lorne Michaels. The series is said to be similar to Curb Your Enthusiasm, with Davidson playing an exaggerated version of himself, as Larry David has done with his show. With the comedian’s relationship with Kim Kardashian still ongoing, Davidson will stay in the spotlight for the foreseeable future.
