It has not been easy for Pete Davidson this year. After his 9-month, very public relationship with Kim Kardashian and their subsequent break-up, as well as the public social media attacks by Ye West, Davidson allegedly threw candles, coffee, and a TV around his trailer while on the set of Peacock’s upcoming action comedy series Bupkis where aside from starring it, he also serves as a co-writer and executive producer. The upcoming Peacock series directed by Jason Orley also stars Oscar winner Joe Pesci as Davidson’s Grandpa and Emmy Award Winner Edie Falco as his mother. The creator and producer of SNL Lorne Michaels will also executive produce.
According to the US SUN, a police report has not been filed, but sources say the actor has been asked to take a break from filming, and he was not on set the following day.
Davidson has been public with his mental health struggles. The actor has Crohn’s Disease, and he uses recreational drugs like marijuana to help manage the disease. He believes that this might have somewhat affected his behavior. He has shared that he experiences episodes of intense emotions, like anger and rage and then forgets all about them. He has also been vocal about his struggles with depression, and in 2017 he was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder.
“As some of you know, I was recently diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, a form of depression,” the actor shared during an October 2017 episode of SNL. “First of all, if you think you’re depressed, see a doctor and talk with him about medication and also, be healthy. Eating right and exercise can make a huge difference.”

Much of Davidson’s comedy is based on personal experiences and his troubles with mental illness. He co-wrote, executive produced and starred in The King of Staten Island, directed by Judd Apatow, which is based on his personal life. He shares his struggles with coping with his father’s death, who passed away when he was 7. Scott Davidson, his father, was a firefighter who lost his life trying to save people at the Marriott hotel by the World Trade Center on September 11th right before the collapse of the building.
It’s unclear how the comedy series will be affected due to this incident, but for the time being, he was asked to take a break from filming to focus on himself.
