The recent release of volume one of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, has gifted royal fans with plenty of juicy new details about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. However, People reported that there is still plenty more shocking news to come about the royal couple when volume two releases next week. It’s expected that volume two of the docuseries will explore the couple’s decision to step back as senior working royals.
During the credits for the end of the third and final episode of volume one of Harry & Meghan, the audience gets a direct look at what will be explored in volume two. Jumping right into the pair’s highly publicized break from the royal family, clips of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, their royal family members, and the then-breaking news of their split from royal duties flash across the screen.
“This is when a family and a family business are in direct conflict,” Markle states as she references the backlash between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the royal family. “Everything that’s happened to us was always gonna happen to us,” Prince Harry adds as he reflects on the couple’s experiences and the choices that led to the pair stepping back as working royals in March 2020.
As more images flash by, Markle says, “Suddenly, what clicked in my head was, ‘It’s never gonna stop.’” Prince Harry then agrees with his wife saying, “There was no other option at this point,” the prince says before adding, “I said, ‘We need to get outta here.’”

Volume 1 of Harry & Meghan Offered Plenty of Inside Details About Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

The first three episodes of Meghan & Harry explored a variety of topics for the now California-based royal couple. These instances included the pair’s early romance, Markle’s experience with racism when she and Prince Harry first went public with their relationship, the Duke of Sussex’s proposal, and Markle’s initial experience integrating into the royal family.
The prince also revealed that he’d “blocked out” most of his memories of his late mother, Princess Diana, and even touched on one of his no so proud moments when he wore a Nazi costume for Halloween in 2005. He called that instance “one of the biggest mistakes of my life.” However, when it comes to his family, Prince Harry says he is willing to do whatever it takes to protect them.
“I accept that there will be people around the world who fundamentally disagree with what I’ve done and how I’ve done it,” The Duke of Sussex stated during episode two. “But I knew that I had to do everything I could to protect my family, especially after what happened to my mum. I didn’t want history to repeat itself.”
Volume one of Harry & Meghan is now streaming on Netflix, with volume two expected to drop on December 15th.
