Global icon Rihanna has now released the music video for her single, Lift Me Up, which will be released alongside the upcoming Marvel sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Coming courtesy of Rihanna’s official YouTube channel, the single comes following weeks of rumors and teases and is the first single from the artist in six years. Lift Me Up marks Rihanna’s first solo music since her 2016 studio album Anti, and brings to an end her two and half-year music hiatus. The single is described as “a tribute to the extraordinary life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman” and has been written by Tems, Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson, Rihanna and Ryan Coogler. Lift Me Up leads the forthcoming soundtrack Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Music From and Inspired By, which will be available on November 4 from Roc Nation Records/Def Jam Recordings/Hollywood Records. The soundtrack is produced by Ryan Coogler, Ludwig Göransson, Archie Davis and Dave Jordan.

Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, finds Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia and Everett Ross and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will further explore the once-hidden nation of Wakanda while introducing the underwater kingdom of Talocan and the live-action debut of Namor the Submariner.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, who has co-written the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stars Letitia Wright as Shuri, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Florence Kasumba as Ayo, Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams aka Ironheart, Michaela Coel as Aneka, Tenoch Huerta as Namor, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, and Angela Bassett as Ramonda. Additionally, the rest of the supporting cast will include Isaach de Bankolé, Dorothy Steel, Danny Sapani, Mabel Cadena, Alex Livinalli, Kamaru Usman, and Richard Schiff.
The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Original Score, composed and produced by Ludwig Göransson, will be available on November 11 from Hollywood Records. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, meanwhile, is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 11, 2022, as the final film in Phase Four of the MCU.
