In Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical, Riseborough will play Mrs. Wormwood, Matilda’s mother.

Emma Thompson

In 1983, British actress Emma Thompson had her big television debut on the comedy sketch show Alfresco, co-writing and acting alongside Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry. She mostly performed in theater and comedic television until landing the main role in the Fortunes of War BBC television drama. In 2000, Vee appeared as Karen in the television series Feel Good. The program centers on comedian and recovering addict Mae, who battles tremendous romanticism and addictive tendencies that infiltrate every aspect of her existence. However, Vee is most known for her stand-up comedy, including a show called Sandhog, per the Soho Theatre. In Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical, Sindhu Vee will play the librarian that assists Matilda.
