Robert Englund’s role as Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) catapulted him into fame, making his name synonymous with the character Freddy Krueger. The very first film he was cast in, Buster and Billie, debuted in 1974, where he played the supporting character role Whitey. He also played other supporting roles between 1974 and 1982 until he caught his break in 1983 after playing Willie in the miniseries V. It was after the miniseries that he was cast as Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street.

He has become an iconic actor in the horror film genre, but this does not mean he hasn’t outdone himself in other non-Freddy Krueger roles. Here are 7 of the best Robert Englund roles that aren’t Freddy Krueger.
